Continental Trail King Fold Bike Tire

This tire is total junk. From the seller description, I thought I was betting APEX and Black Chili Compound. Instead this is made in India, the "snakeskin" only goes 3/4 of the way around the tire and that is where all the leaks come from. Apparently the good tires with APEX and Black Chili are only made in Germany (makes sense). Description was very deceptive. I've been running this tubeless and tried two different types of sealant (Stans & Orange Seal). Its hilarious that you get a leak on the sidewall, rotate it around so the sealant plugs it, then 5 seconds later you hear a leak somewhere else. Hilarious until they never stop leaking and you can't ride.I'm sure Trail Kings are great tires, just make sure you get the German ones.

These tires grip really well in Michigan mud and dirt. However, they are huge tires - much bigger than the stock tires that came on my Trek Cobia - and they tend to rub under hard cornering.

tire selection is definitely dependent on the type of terrain you're going to be riding, but for the somewhat rocky terrain on the Colorado Front Range, these tires are hard to beat. The width gives a little extra cushion against the rocks and allows you to run a lower pressure. These don't seem to shed knobs very easy and last quite a while. the sidewalls are durable. Everything I am looking for in a tire.

Always been a fan of the Trail Kings. Great grip, but still fairly fast rolling. The rubber compound definitely seems to make a difference in cornering traction, including on wet roots and rocks. Also has worked well as tubeless.

Tire has traction everywhere. Has a lot of rolling resistance though.

I needed a new front soft ground/ mud tire and this tire fit the bill. Much more predictable than the Ardent it replaced.

Not the German made Apex Protection, Black Chili Compound tires in the description. These are the bottom range Sport compound tires made in India (stamped on sidewall). They have India stamped on the rubber.

I can bow ride my bike down a 90 degrees mountain. Gives me the control I need to take it to the next level
