Purchased for refilling my Shaeaffer classic pens.

I loaded this ink into three different fountain pens and it did not want to leave the pens. I fussed with them enough to get the ink flowing (poorly) but when I put the pen down and picked it up 20 minutes later nothing would come out. The pens were extra fine and medium nibs and the result was the same for all three pens. I would not recommend this ink for use in fountain pens. It's great with my glass dip pen, though, so at least it won't go to waste.

If your not careful it will smear pretty easy and soaks through the paper

Well what is there to say, the ink itself is unrivaled for the price however, whoever's idea it was to put this cap on this bottle should probably be booted from whatever position they're in. For some reason the cap is two pieces that are seemingly glued together? All I know is that it opened up in my bag and ruined the majority of my sketch pads, and supplies. It had also gotten all over it a Kindle which is now non-functioning. Anyhow that's besides the point If you buy this ink just make sure you carry it in a plastic bag. The most intense form of motion I had this bottle of ink during is riding my motorcycle from point A to point b on paved roads. I'm not going to knock the product The ink is a nice rich black that doesn't seem to fade one of my favorites however the bottle is fubar. For what money I saved on finding affordable ink I lost over $263 worth of supplies (including backpack) so just please be prepared and safe if you carry this ink with you.
