Bargain good quality ear buds
I've had these for about 4 weeks now. This is my first pair of wireless buds. I was worried they might fall out and get lost. They fit so well I have no worries about losing one. Even a vigorous shake of the head doesn't seem to move them. In spite of that they're very comfortable even after hours of listening. The sound quality is what I like most. So musical and pure sounding. To me they sound much better than far more expensive headphones I've had over the years. The noise reduction doesn't seem to make much difference on or off, but the sound isolation is so good it doesn't matter. The battery seems to last ages and they get a top up when stored in the case. The only very slight negative is the control buttons on them. I press them every time I adjust one or even touch the side if my face, either pausing the music or putting them into ambient mode by mistake. Another press and is all sorted but not ideal. In terms of pairing and controlling, the app is good and they pair easily. The price is good at the moment because there is a newer version but I would say get them while they're cheap and still available.

Brilliant, and currently a bargain.
With the newer wf-c710n out this year at about £99 it's fair to say that the wf-c700n are currently an absolute steal at approx £59.They fit comfortably with the normal earbuds for my ears, and work well straight out of the box, but you can tweak the sound easily using the current Sony app. I've not had the Bluetooth connection drop once yet.Battery life is decent, with the one small negative being that the charging case is only good for one full recharge.

4* Quality 1* Noise Cancelling
These Sony headphones have a high build quality and reliably connect. Very comfortable to wear. Small case with long lasting battery charge. Sound is good, but will not blow you away. Ideal headphones provided you're not buying them for noise cancelling.Noise cancelling is non-existent on my Sony ones, outside of the noise blocked out by the fit of the headphones. Tried different headphone tips included, but did not help. No difference noticeable when switching between the noise cancelling options on the app. Have recently bought a pair of the new Bose quiet comfort earbuds released Sep 2024. These are much dearer than the Sony ,but actually have effective noise cancelling from cars when walking or whilst commuting on train. Sound of the Bose is not that different from the Sony and the Bose have a bigger case and headphones, however they do deliver on their noise cancelling which is what I was really looking for.

Sony -Quality and Well Priced. Great Value for Money!
Can’t argue with value for money.I’ve had the XM3 (high end) for 5+ years, lost them, then brought the XM6 (high end) and lost them within a few months. Wanted something for £100 and these just come out, the 710N model.ANC is good enough for model and money. Old enough but I think Sony tend to be on the slightly more controlled side, not an issue as the ANC is half good. Equalizer gives good range for all genres.Basically, really good value for money and true to Sony’s build quality.Spent days over thinking and comparing models.Cant go wrong with Sony.No gimmicks.Case is small, light, buds come with additional size ear rubber things5 star for price point. My Sony XM6 were notably different, but £220. Worth every penny too! ANC is mind blowing. Stick them in your ear and it’s like someone turned the world on mute. The tone and depth it crazy too. That’s said, I’m happy with my new purchase. Can’t complain.Just buy them.

Very good and very bad
The bad.EDIT UPDATE JUNE 2025: I now have 3 pairs of these, still light, comfortable and fantastic sound for the money (great bass, albeit not super loud at max) Such a hard one, unbelievable value for money is a very accurate description as EVERY one of the three pairs has unbelievably bad battery and charging issues. MASSIVE failure, sometimes will charge, sometimes not, always worse performance on Left earbud. You get lots of cake but often can't eat it all. VERY frustrating.Connect to poor Sony Headphones app (takes forever to update) on my Samsung phone. Pair and connect to my Samsung TV, no issues. Turn ambient off, reassign volume and playback controls, all good. Start playing youtube music on phone, pause music. Press play again. Nothing. Check status. Earbuds have connected to TV. Checked several times.So. CAN connect two devices. HOWEVER. Play controls won't work. = MASSIVE fail.More worryingly, find a photo attached after 1 minute play time, RH bud = 100% LH bud = 70% aaaaaargggh!!! Had same BS issue with my Sony WF-1000-XM4's one bud always has worse battery capacity than the other = MASSIVE fail. I hope this is random and not the same issue. Very, very poor. 10hrs later edit... Left bud still showing 20% less battery than right, have disabled multipoint let's see if that does anything, cannot believe Sony STILL have battery issues!!! Never had this problem on my Samsung buds or Sennheiser buds. The equaliser? Honestly? I couldn't tell any difference! = MASSIVE fail. The good.Comfort, for me AMAZINGLY GOOD! Much better than the larger XM4'sFit, very secure out of the box, again, amazingly good, better than the XM4'sErgo. Secure fit and I prefer the physical 'click' buttons (I hold onto the bud as I press the buttons) this means you can adjust the fit with less chance of accidental presses.Volume. Very, very impressive, very loud. Very sensitive to correct fit though!Sound. Loud, solid bass, good highs, for the price, very good. They lack a bit of refinement and are a bit thin in the midrange, and sibilant at the top but for the price I have ZERO complaints. Note these buds must have tiny drivers as are VERY sensitive to correct fit, if your bass is rubbish, have a fiddle and try different tips, once you get the sweet spot the bass is very impressive for such a cheap product.Call quality. Just got, so will have to update after I have tried.SUMMARY.Amazing price, amazing comfort, amazing fit, amazing volume and very good sound (for the price) only let down by poor app, poor dual device connection, poor EQ and (possibly) poor differential battery life.I can live the the useless EQ and duff dual device connection but the duff battery issue is potentially REALLY, REALLY dissappointing, I will update on real world battery life.BUT. I currently have 9 pairs of cans and buds, mostly Senns and Sony and have listened to headphones / buds every day for years and these are probably the best value for money of any headphone I have ever bought. 100% impressed, if only Sony could fix the rubbish battery issues. But then if they were perfect no one would ever buy the XM5's.
