Poor in wet weather
First the good bits:A TomTom 5 inch SatNav (Go Live 1005) fits snuggly into this and it doesn't rattle around. You can operate the touch screen through the plastic coverNow the bad bits - and there are plenty:Because it is a snug fit you cant plug in the power cableThe ball joint holding the top part to the bracket for the bicycle would not tighten up properly and so it 'flops' around. In the rain the water droplets appeared to penetrate the clear plastic cover almost instantly and so the inside 'fogged up' and it was impossible to see the screen. Although the inside seemed dry it continued to fog up for another day after the rain.So as long as you are doing short journeys in the dry it is pretty good - otherwise I wouldn't use it again.

Mount is sturdy and amply adjustable
Does the job competently. Mount is sturdy and amply adjustable, if a little fiddly to fit. As a universal fit item for 5" satnavs, it is unnecessarily deep for my model, but comes with ample padding to take up the slack. Initial problem working out how to fit the case to the bracket, not helped by no instructions, but a customer inquiry bought a very swift response - even at 2a.m.! I thought a part was missing, but all that was required was quite a HARD push, until it clicks and locks into position.

Very practical solution
My TomTom Go 530 is one of the slimmer models, but with all the packers in place, it's up against the plastic window, so can still be operated. The clamp, on its widest setting goes round the centre section of the handlebars on my Tiger 800. The rubber inserts in the clamp mean you shouldn't over tighten and risk damaging the thumbscrew. The ball joint on the back of the case gives all the adjustment you'd need and still holds the unit solidly.

Not great quality
Bought this to house my Garmin Nuvi 3490LTM, required to fit to my motorcycle handle bars. on first fitting, the thumb screw split rendering it uselss, i've now had to fabricate another. Holder comes with several foam inserts but would require double this amount for slimmer satnavs, soon find out if it's water proof next week.would not buy another

This is a fairly decent product except for the mount that holds the pouch to the ball assembly. When you place the pad on the back of the pouch and slide it into place it never fits securely and is easily removed from its fitting, I imagine that a bump on the road would have the whole pounch coming off the mount. I put a screw through the centre of this pad to hold it securely to the pouch and this is why I can only give the item 2 stars.

12 Hours of non stop rain. It works.
At first I was disappointed with the plastic bracket to mount it as the plastic nut was broken . I changed this for a M5 nyloc and all was OK. I mounted the holder to a mirror stem as having a scooter the mounting places are limited. I did have to pack out the mount to make it secure.Once on it didn`t move or drop at all.I used the cover with a Garmin nuvi 2595 and kept it constantly charged throughout the trip (ordeal). But what everyone wants to know is , Is it waterproof ?.......Yes ..........Definitely.I recently rode down through France for just under 12 hours of non stop hard rain and at journeys end I checked for leaks and there were none. Although the heat from the sat nav was just starting to cause a little condensation. One thing to watch out for. When the case is fitted to the bracket make sure it double clicks into its lugs, a small amout of pressure is needed. Once on its very secure.

you get what you pay for
The mount is made from poor quality plastic, mine won't tighten, and certainly won't support the weight of a satnav inside it. So, I have been forced to use velcro in a heath-robinson affair to mount the device on my handlebars.Unable to recommend these.

Bought this to fit my Navman in and it fit well. The only problem was the zip puller snapped off as soon as I touched it. It can still be zipped up but it is a pain.
