This SSD DVR is easy to configure is compatible with my old cameras is a fast interface this is big upgrade from my previous Annke DVR this one really works on minimizing false motion events and notification are instant you can choose from a vehicle or person events or both you are able to find the recordings needed fast.

EDIT: Annke customer service is absolutely fantastic. They reached out and resolved my concern below very promptly and appropriately. I am keeping my original review below because these are product limitations that I wish were better documented, however, I'm updating to 4 starts for their amazing customer service and support! -- If you just need to replace an old recorder using analog cameras, this does the job. I used it to replace our churches failing Night Owl 3.0 system, and it worked with its old cameras. Overall, this is a nice little recorder, however, there is hardly any documentation on this device, and after purchasing it, I learned some limitations that makes me wish I bought a different model. - model: ASD810 - 3K Lite (I don't see this anywhere on the Amazon listing) - 3k Lite resolution is NOT 3k. 3k Lite is only 1480 × 1663 which is HALF of 3k and only slightly better than 1080p. - Basic and Smart Events: This unit only supports up to 4 channels of Smart Events (detecting humans & vehicles). You can not mix and match 4 channels of Smart Events and 4 channels of Basic Events either.. so you're basically stuck with only using basic events if you want motion detection on all 8 channels. While the basic events have been good, it's not what I was expecting. Side note: After buying this recorder, I replaced some of our old NightOwl cameras with new ones from Annke. If you do the same, get the NCA500 3k cameras - they are fantastic and handle challenging lighting situations really well. Highly recommend. Don't get the ADL500 cameras... They are okay, but the NCA500's are way better.

Do not buy. About a month into ownership, I noticed the recordings often disappear (requiring a reboot and losing settings) and when they don't disappear, I can only view 2 of the cameras' recordings at a time. I notified Annke customer service and for 2 weeks they have slow-rolled several "reboot, restart, check settings, confirm scheduling" and the like, all to no avail. They take at least a day to respond. But it doesn't matter anyhow as they offer zero solutions outside the obvious listed above. Customer service is nonexistent. They just requested my user name and pw for the app, which I'm not even using, in order to look into the DVR further. I got it less than 2 months ago. Notified Annke of the issues about 2 weeks ago. I just replied requesting they replace it with a working unit. We shall see how they respond in a day or 2. Let this be a warning to others, do not buy because when it stops working you will get no help, but lots of meaningless tasks. Btw, the reason I do not use the app is because when the recordings disappear, the DVR needs rebooted, which I cannot do from the app w/o losing the recordings for good. Which defeats the purpose of remote viewing. So far, this thing is garbage.

Good quality DVR, easy setup, although I had to change some of the IP info, but it works great, and the app is very good!

This has a nice refresh rate when filming , it doesn’t leave the video choppy

Bought this digital video recorder to replace an old Swann system after the hard drive went bad. I am very happy with this system, hooked straight up to tvi cameras with no problem. Graphics are better than I had before and I like that idea of a solid state hard drive versus a disc hard drive.

My Nightowl DVR died, so I bought this in the hopes that it would talk to the slre a dynamic installed cameras. It works flawlessly Werth them and the app is more stable than the Nightowl. I am however having serious compatibility problems trying to get the wireless cameras to work with this reliably, even with Annke wireless cameras. Edit: The seller did offer me a full refund for my troubles. This is great customer service.

The Quality is amazing compared to my old DVR . The flexibility and functionality is great . Its Small and includes a SSD Harddrive for the price beats the others hands down I am extremely happy with this DVR .

SSD recorder has been in use for about 4 months with no issues. Completely silent recording. Way better than the hard drive recorder I was using beforehand.

The DVR was easy to set up and worked very well. Especially liked the solid state drive in this unit.
