the eyes are not hollow so flames don't really come up through the sockets. A real skull wouldn't have teeth like that. But still it is a conversation piece and pretty cool. it is heavy

Solid skull (mandible does not detach) - Quality item, looks great in the wood burning fire pit for our Halloween Party, and costs about $20 less than the competitor's version! Very happy with this and glad I got one before they sold out.

The flames in the product pic are either photo-shopped or the skull has been modified/hollowed out. The item I received was entirely solid, it is impossible for gas to flow through eye sockets & nasal passages so flames will show. It is also covered in some soot-like substance, it stained my hands and the carpet when I opened the package. The soot seems to burn off in the fire pit and has stained the other logs in the gas fire pit.

We love the burning skull so much we left it in our firepit even after this year's Halloween party.

Though the pics show the eyes with fire coming out of them, they are solid and therefor cannot have the fire coming out of the fire, basically just a solid molded skull that sits in the fire, very bland

Using it for decoration in fireplace but will use it soon enough with the colorful flame

As described, on time. Chemical coating needs to be burnt off and it was the most foul toxic stink that filled the yard for the whole night.
