These installed quickly and worked immediately. They have made such a difference in the safety and function of our household. Two of my boys are autistic, and one has tried eloping multiple times. This worked exactly as we hoped and means that we can all breath easier knowing that the boys are safe. This is also a much better alternative to child safety locks we have tried that bolt into the door, because my daughter couldn't reach them to let herself out, and they couldn't be opened from the outside. This is a much safer alternative and is so convenient. I love how the door locks immediately upon closing, so we never have to worry about forgetting to lock it. Plus, we can't get locked out since we all know the combination. They also use normal batteries, so they don't require anything fancy to keep them running, and there are backup keys as well. They were worth every penny, and were affordable enough to get one for every exterior door.

UPDATE: after a year in Florida sun and rain this product is still working perfectly. I just bought a second one for a different garden gate. It’s unbelievable how good this product is This is an excellent product. It works perfectly. It was easy to install. And it stands up to excessive rain and sunlight.

Great lock! I bought a second one just last week. After using for two years it does not work with the code anymore. Want to keep the code option so I bought another. I am in the U.S. but my lock is for my home in another country where the sun is hot and the rain is plenty and salt air...makes for rust...but I love this option for the people who take care of my home the cleaned and gardener and delivery person.

This works perfectly for containing a 7 year old autistic flight risk. You can even add numbers before and after the entry code you set to prevent them from watching and remembering the code. I higjly recommend this product!

This door knob worked great for locking my home while also preventing my autistic children from being able to elope. I have 3 of these to keep my kids safe! Its started out great so thats why we ended up using this on all 3 exit doors. Unfortunately, 1 door stopped locking. A part inside came loose & we were able to fix it & keep using it. Now a 2nd knob is doing this. We usually have to hit it or knock the part back into place & now it won’t lock on the 1 side at all. I had to reverse the knob so the inside stays locked to protect our children. However part of the time the lock doesn’t want to unlock, so I have to make sure we have a key to get in or remove the batteries to reset the door & force it to unlock. I have 1 working knob & 1 we fixed that is working but I don’t know for how long & a 3rd that only works on 1 side. We haven’t owned these for more than a year. It’s sad & this has now become a huge safety risk as I don’t know when it will stop working & if my children will escape & runoff without our knowledge!

Have had to purchase this item several time because it's been broken off by others, but it works well on our outdoor gate. There was one time we had to replace it because the mechanism failed to work every time (you would put the code in, it would beep, but it wouldn't let you in). Thankfully, of the four we've had to purchase, only one was like that. My contractor installed it, so not sure about installation. Holding up well in direct sun and rain since December 2024.

My elderly mom has Alzheimer's/Dementia, and she was sneaking out of the house 40 times a day, tried the plastic child proof doorknob protectors but she started pulling on them and started warping them and getting them off leaving the house to roam the neighborhood. OMG! installed it in 10 minutes flat, so easy to install, then programmed the passcode for caregivers who come to house to help her and handed a key to each of my family members who stop by house to check on her, the lock comes with 4 keys. This lock is built like a Tank. So easy to program, you can have various passcodes for different people and can change them on the fly. when you touch the keypad of numbers it lights up and you punch in the passcode and hit the checkmark button and a green light comes on and now you leave or enter the house without a key for easy access. Called many locksmiths and they didn't have any locks like this. if you have a family member who has Dementia/Alzheimer's don't look any further. this Lock is worth every dollar!
