Wanted to get Kim Carnes classic song Bette Davis Eyes but the remastered Culture Factory album issues were available on Amazon for about a fiver so ended up with 4 of them including this one but I like all her albums and the Culture Factory issues sound pretty good to me So if you want her albums I can recommended these.

The second worst thing about this reissue is knowing that cuz cult f. have already done it, nobody else'll probably bother for a decade or so.The first worst thing about this 're-mastering' is the sound. It is just literally painful. I really don't know how they managed to get drums, guitars and saxophones to sound like that...a beautiful album tormented beyond recognition. If you have, like me, bought the wretched thing, you probably need cheering up so check out the 'how we remaster' button on cult F's web site. So jolly enthusiastic they might nearly convince themselves they know what they are doing, even if they don't convince anyone else.I love the concept, the paper sleeves are very well done and they have ridiculously good taste in artists...they just make unpleasant sounding discs.
