Evading Death's Grip: College Professor Experiences Supernatural Life After Death Paperback – November 6, 2017

I met Pastor Steve in a conference and was drawn to his humble demeanor and yet profound anointing and knowledge, so I purchased this book. I could not put this book down and literally finished this book in two days. When I read the first few chapters I thought it was about spiritual warfare where Pastor Steve explained who Satan was, our choices, and other important topics. Then he got into that we humans were tripartite (body, soul, spirit). I was holding my breath thinking it would be too theological. To my surprise it explained what I needed to know so that I could understand his near-death-experience. In his out-of-body experience he saw two paths that led to two destinations: heaven and hell, and shared his extensive research on the topic. This book was written in a fashion that provokes questions and provided answers as I read on (and there is a Q/A section at the back of the book). This book is for both mature followers of Christ and people who are still seeking the Lord. I highly recommend this book.

If you believe in the spiritual realm and angels and demons, then reading this book will confirm the reality of them. I'm always skeptical about people who write books about Near Death Experiences, but I believe pastor Steve Long because I've met him many years ago at conference where he spoke. He definitely possesses the power of healing and can hear God speak to him. He healed my sister before our eyes in front of a congregation and everyone gave praises to God. I wanted an answer from God, which during one of pastor Steve's altar calls, I prayed and asked God for the answer. I was following pastor Steve around and didn't speak a word to him. He then turned around and said "what's done in the past is forgiven and forgotten" and it was a very specific answer to something I prayed under my breath to God. At that moment, I was shocked that pastor Steve could answer a question I prayed to God and he could relay that answer from God. So when I tell you that his account of his near death experience written in this book is real, it is my hope that you believe him. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to know where we go after we die; believers and non-believers alike.
