Is this product good at keeping weeds out?

It does not keep weed out does help keep water out that can contribute to weed growth

Each piece is rigid but each one could be at a slightly different height. There is a slide connection between the pieces. They are flexible enough to curve. We have them in a circle around a tree. Hope that helps

Will this hold some water back at joints? Water leaks into my neighbors fence. I would like to drive these a couple inches past the soil surface.

Yes they do keep water back but what i did was create a small opening on the opposite side of my neighbor so water could flow off when it rained. But the joints do hold everything inside no leakage
