Less then 12x magnification.
I purchased these because of the claim that this was an actual 30x monocular.It is definitely NOT 30x.I brought the Spartan Tactical monocular up to a hill overlooking my city and put it up against one side of my 12x binoculars.(I will not state the binocular brand or model because I don't want to appear to be selling anything here. I'm just using them for reference.)These are not expensive binoculars, so I assumed the results would be similar. I DID expect a smaller field of view from the Spartan Tactical due to it having a smaller diameter, however I didn't expect nearly as dramatic of a difference as there was.The pictures show how disappointing the performance of this item is, but they also only tell half of the story. I was able to easily hold my camera up to one side of the binoculars and snap a picture, but doing the same with the Spartan Tactical monocular proved to be nearly impossible. I eventually put it on the included stand and used the camera adapter. This worked a little better, but it still took a very long time to focus this and get a halfway decent picture.I chose to focus on the sign because it's at end of the capability of my 12x binoculars. I assumed that a 30x monocular would exceed that range, but unfortunately the monocular failed to magnify clearly even to 12xI can't recommend this item.I would not buy this item again, and will be requesting a refund.

DO NOT BUY FOR PHONE USE
So... the monocular works. Not the best quality but in line with the price point. The rest of the package individually is not bad but together is totally useless. I have a Pixel 2 XL. The thing will not stay up on the tripod as the center of gravity with the very heavy monocular is out to far. The thing that connects the monocular too the phone is not able to maintain position just based on the weight of the monocular or the phone. The only reason I give this 2 stars is because the monocular on its own works. Otherwise this thing is useless for the purposes I bought it for. DO NOT BUY if you want to use this with a phone.

Monocular
As a (female) combat trained Veteran paratrooper, I really appreciate quality gear, in all price ranges. The Spartan Tactical monocular was an excellent buy. The price is great and I'm gonna buy them for my grand kids. I'm going on a fly fishing trip to Montana and while the distance requires a stronger focal length this will be great for spotting a fish in the surrounding water.The gold print look really nice but I would like GLOW in the DARK number and writing. Not because I could really use it at night but in case I drop it . . . much easier to locate.It is the best monocular that I've found for the price and overall quality.

Magnification and Quality
I bought the most popular monocular on Amazon, it was only 8 power and I wasn't satisfied with the magnification so I bought this one with 30 power and it makes a huge difference! This monocular is tough, I've dropped it many times with zero damage. The phone mount and tripod are very handy. Super simple to use.

I'm returning this. You can't focus at all and the quality is terrible even when i do get a picture in focus. I'm better of just using the digital zoom. Mine must be defective if it got 7 other good reviews but it's very bad.

I received this on Tuesday afternoon could hardly wait to use it. Used it on Saturday on my property in northern AZ. Made things look like I could reach out and touch them. This is Monocular is awesome and everything they said it was. Really happy.

Great!
Super fast shipping! I ordered in the morning and received the same day in the afternoon. Great build quality and I really appreciated the nice included carrying case. Works perfect with my iPhone 7, but with my iPhone X it is difficult to line up due to the dual camera. I didn't subtract for this due to the X being a brand new phone model.
