Great book with complete and comprehensive explanations of Windows Server 2022!

I have been a Unix / Linux administrator for years. In my newest job, I have had to deal with Widows domains. This book gives a lot of the needed basics.

I am currently working through Mastering Windows Server 2022 and would like to commend you on an excellent resource. The content is comprehensive and well-organized, making it an invaluable guide for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Windows Server 2022.However, I have encountered some challenges while attempting to set up the lab environment for the book, and I am reaching out for further clarification. I was wondering if there might be a tutorial or additional resources available to help with setting up the lab environment, as this would significantly enhance the learning experience.Specifically, in Chapter 2, I created the fabrikam.local domain, but in Chapter 3, the book references the contoso.local domain. I initially assumed that the contoso.local domain in Chapter 2 was merely an example used for screenshots, but I was unsure whether both domains need to be configured and joined. As I proceeded, I created a new virtual machine and set up the contoso.local domain to mirror the figures in the book, but I would appreciate clarification on whether the eventual goal is to join both domains.Additionally, the book mentions downloading Windows Admin Center (WAC), but there is no explanation on how it is pre-populated. A more detailed explanation or guidance would be greatly appreciated.Would it be possible for you to provide a video tutorial for the initial chapters, or perhaps some visual checkpoints that could guide me through these early setups? I am using VMware and Hyper-V for virtualization, and I am eager to proceed with the course material.Thank you for your time and for providing such a valuable resource. This book is amazing. It cuts right to what yo need to know and suggests on the best ways to accomplish. I really recommend for someone getting up to speed with windows server 2022.

This book will take you from having basic windows server skills to becoming a near pro.I like how the book has filled in those unanswered questions I’ve always had windows server operating systems and also discusses current trends and how they interact with the OS.Am gonna look up the author and see if they have more books cos this is a 10/10.

I enjoyed this book and I am a big fan of the author. You will find great insight and info in this book. However, this book basically had zero mention of DFS, which is still a relevant service. If it was not for a lack of coverage on DFS, I would have given this book 4 stars.

I ended up buying this off Barnes and noble but wanted to make sure to review here in case someone wants to purchase.This book is very good and goes into great detail about a lot of aspects of Server 2022, AD, GPO, and even Azure. This is great for learning and anyone who is in IT as a sysadmin should give it a read, you will learn something, I guarantee it. For beginners it may be hard to pick up some of the terminology, but it will help you gain skills none the less. I am creeping into Sr level now and this book has given me some great knowledge. I deff. recommend you pick it up and read the entire book, it is a great tool.
