Level Ride - Updated-Great Warranty
The boat handling characteristics changed a lot. When coming up on plane the bow stayed down, even at slow throttle and handles much better in choppy conditions. I should have done this sooner. This has been the best accessory that I have added to the boat. The installation process took 2 hours to do the first tab and 25 minutes to do the second. When following the install directions I used the recommended 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant to aid in the assembly process, worked well. I recommend that before you drill use a center punch. The recommended drill sizes worked very well just be careful not to go too deep on the tab flange screw holes. Put masking tape on the drill to the depth you want too and go slow and perpendicular to the surface. When attaching the top flange of the shock, the flange will be at an angle to the transom surface, you will only be able to mark the bottom 2 holes. Make a cardboard template of the flange holes on the bench and use the template to mark the top hole and check the location of the bottom holes. You only get 1 chance to get these holes right. Use a drill motor, with the proper screw bit, to aid you in the assembly of these 3 screws.9-2025After owning these for about 10 months (40 underway hours) the port trim tab shock failed. I contacted the manufacturer and was able to get a replacement for FREE. The process took about a week, I sent them the broken part and they sent me a new replacement part at no cost. They are a great company to work with.Another recommendation. When adjusting the trim tab fastener location, where the shock attaches to the plate, fully extend the shock.

Perfect addition to our Key West 179
Super easy to install on the transom with no wiring or pumps needed. These perfect size 10x10 tabs help your boat plane fast, cut down on porpoising, and make the ride smoother, even in choppy water. Made with tough stainless steel and a strong spring system, these are a great value

game changer!!
Game changer! I don't usually write reviews unless the item is either really awesome or really crappy.Thankfully this one is totally awesome!!I have a 16' aluminum fish/sport boat with a 90hp and rear fuel tank, this is a new to me boat and obviously the former owner had issues with keeping the front down and porpoising seeing how he had bricks lined in bow under the seats! And evenso, running the boat at any speed above 15-20mph the bow would violently bounce and slap the water no matter the motor trim. Like the prior owner I was ready to sell the boat! (Almost)With a little research I came across these little units and finally decided to pull the trigger. Not too bad to install, I decided to use rivets rather than bolts as access to the inside would have been a nightmare. Now to the maiden voyage! OMG, what a wonderful difference! No bow rise or porpoising whatsoever! I went from a nightmare dangerous experience to a brand new enjoyable boat!THANK YOU BENNETT!!

Impressed is an understatement!
I have an 18' CC that I had just bought without a test drive (not the best idea, I know). Anyways, I took it out several times and each time... no matter how flat the water was, this thing would just be porpoising more than a dolphin. It was horrible. Like horrible enough I was thinking of selling the boat and getting another one as this made me not even want to take it out any more. Did some research and saw to add some trim tabs. I landed on these as the price couldn't be beat. I was just hoping it would help some. I took the boat out yesterday, and that thing ran the smoothest in 1-2' as a boat 10' larger than mine would. I was amazed! It also got on a plane faster and easier than before, so added bonus there!I did call the helpline when I installed them for a question, whoever I spoke to was knowledgeable and helped out so customer service is A++.If you're hesitate on buying these, don't be! Easy to install and they work better than I could have imagined!

Do they fit on smaller aluminum boats? Yes.
If you have a smaller aluminum boat like this, they do work, wasn’t sure if they would fit but they did, they were put on a 1548 weldcraft. The couple times I’ve taken it out so far they really are a tremendous help to the porpoising, almost eliminating it, the only issue I had with installing them, if you have more of an angle on the transom (which these aluminum boats tend to) the top mounting peice will not fit flush being these were morely intended to be installed on a vertical level transom, I took a grinder with a gritty sanding disc and sanded it down to where the face of the part was almost level with the angle of the transom, the little bit of plastic you shave off will not be enough to make a difference of the durability of it, then simply install the screws that came with it and put silicone around them, the bottom part had to be riveted, the rivets do hold well, in conclusion if you have an aluminum boat like this, or anything of the sort these trim tabs work, just have to tinker with it a little bit and they work as they are meant to.

Works wonders
Don’t normally write reviews, but had to make an exception in this case because the product is unbelievable. I have a 1981 Sea Ox original steering very unbalanced and did not plane well/pulled hard to the right. Mechanic wanted $2000+ to put in hydraulic steering. How about a couple Bennett trim tabs for under $200? Drives like a brand new boat. THANK YOU!!!!

Helped! Worked as described.
I have a 17 ft boat with 115 hp four-stroke, helped with planning out of the water, helped a.little with boat porpiosing at full throttle. Still hops a little. Cheaper than new prop and pretty easy install. I also like that I can pin them up. Maybe lost 1 or 2 mph? Hard to tell.

Boat leans to the left
There is no adjustment in the installation to correct the boat leaning. The ability to get on plane and reduce wave slap is amazing.
