My family are biltong feinds and we have tried it from quite a few places. This is the first time I have bought it online where I couldn’t choose it before it was cut. However it would be impossible for the vendor to supply Biltong online to everyone’s exact tastes. If you have that need then it would be wise to visit a local South African shop.I personally have a preference for a slightly more moist Biltong than what was sent here (hence 4 stars), but I didn’t find it too dry like jerky.The flavour was strong and distinctive and was enjoyed by all. I’m glad it was packaged in 2x500g bags as it meant we could spread out the useage time.This is a great non-mess and non-sticky snack for children and adults alike. It is at home in a lunchbox as it is a bar snack.The fat content was minimal which is great as it reduces the risk of spoiling.All in all if you want something different to give to the kids or at a party or on a hike or in front of a film then this is a great and healthier option. I had garlic flavour, but I will be giving other flavours a go too.

Overall not impressed.They taste OK, been trying different brands in search for the best billtong and sadly these fall short a fair bit.With the Garlic flavour, it seems they have simpy been dipped in garlic powder. LOTS OF GARLIC POWDER!!Couldnt eat the garlic ones at work as they stunk out the area with intense garlic. And didnt taste especially good either.Overall, average taste, texture, cut too thin etc.But I'd suggest you try this and other brands and compare for yourself ..although avoid garlic!(Sadly the best one i have found isnt sold on Amazon, only direct in UK)Limpopo!

I'm trying to eat healthier snacks, giving Mr Walker the kick and telling him to take his potatoes with him!I purchased 4x 250g Garlic Biltong for the lightening deal of £24.63. At this price for 1KG, it is great value, but this stuff IS NOT cheap!!Overall the Biltong is not too hard and appropriately chewy with a fantastic flavour profile. I didn't think that the flavour was too overpowering as some have commented, however taste is quite subjective.Pros:+Excellent flavour.+Great texture, not too hard, not too soft.+4 separate bags help prolong the life of the Biltong, but the manufacturer does say to consume within 2 days!Cons:-Expensive, even on a lightening deal.Bottom line:If you're trying to increase your protein intake, on a keto diet or are simply looking for a healthier snack, I highly recommend this product, but try and get it on a lightening deal to blunt the impact to your wallet!!

After reading all the great reviews I was rather disappointed with the teriyaki flavour, much prefer jerky but each to their own.

The garlic closely followed by the peppered steak are the best flavours here in my opinion.Habanero's heat mask any flavour it might havePeri Peri is ok but not my thingBBQ is disappointing, I don't think I would guess that was the flavour if I didn't know in advance.Teriyaki was bland.The garlic one really is good and I could quite easily sit eat a kilo in less than a day which is why I just ordered it again, lots of flavour there and very moreish. The peppered steak surprised me as that's the one I would have expected to be a bit bland but it has a nice flavour to it definitely munchable.If your on a low carb diet these make a great snack to replace crisps and such.The only problem with buying 1kg at a time is the 500g bags would be better if the came in 250g or 100g bags, that way I might be less likely to eat 500g in one go.5 Stars for the kilo of the garlic one I bought last time yum.

Very tasty beef jerky great for snacking. Came nicely packed in air tight bags. The only downside is that the bags are not resalable and you can consume them within 48 hours but I have no problem finishing a whole 500g bag I this amount of time.
