This enameled cast iron chicken / turkey roaster/baking dish is perfect for roasting turkey or lamb, cooking lasagna, or baking roast potatoes all thanks to the even heat distribution and superior heat retention of its cast iron core. The pan can easily tolerate high heat -up to 500°F- in the oven, which would result in perfectly crispy dishes. Inside of the pan is coated with 3-layers of Dexart signature black matte enamel finish and does not need to be seasoned. Outside enamel coating is highly resistant to chipping or cracking. Large, cast-in handles add to the durability of the pan.

Great Product
I was using a simple "tin" drip-pan with my Big Green Egg (BGE) medium kamoto. This served the purpose, somewhat. I wanted something that would be more substantial that I could actually make sauces in, catch the drippings, combine with some butter or broth or both and make a au jus and the like. Well, this is the item! It fits perfectly and is heavy enough to hold the heat to scrape the drippings and make your sauce. It is a quality made casting. I chose black so I don't have to fuss with any char stain, if there are any. There is a slight texture on the inside castings bottom but this is not an issue. Simply use a flat wooden spatula to combine the drippings. Overall, great product that should last for years.
