Bathroom tile is something which always looks great when it’s first done. But overtime, especially if homeowners don’t take care of their tile, the sealant (which should be reapplied REGULARLY) wears off, your grout starts to crack and shows signs of mildew. Before long, your nice-looking tiles look like they are about to fall off even though that’s not the case. And oh boy can that be depressing, especially if you have company overusing your bathroom/shower/tub.Enter this product from Mallbaola.Now look… I’m a DIYer. I’ve learned from skilled handyman and my father. In short, what to do vs not necessarily what you want to do. When it comes to your hard-earned home, you don’t want to take shortcuts. But it’s always possible someone did take a shortcut. This particular Grout Repair kit is one of many on Amazon. And frankly, it can be hard to traverse the many options available. For me, I wanted to focus on the grout but not have to buy huge tubs of grout which will need to be matched and then mixed after a whole lot of scraping and cleaning. I do 12-hour shifts and only a few days a week to work on these projects – nobody has time for huge undertakings.What we DO have time for is a basic kit which focuses on exactly what we need – fixing the heart of the problem and making it look new. This kit, simply put, does what you need it to. How long will the finished product last? That depends. First of all, you need to be reapplying sealant regularly especially if you use harsh cleaning chemicals which will strip that sealant faster than paint stripper on latex. You have to treat your things and hard work right. Mallbaola’s product makes it as easy as they can for you – but you have to care for it right and follow their hand instructions.Do that? And you’ll have a similar result as in my images.You can see how my grout was looking. I inherited what was a nice shower but some previous DIYers didn’t do a good job at repairing it over the years. The result was some filled it in with caulk, others used plumbers putty, and moisture over time created cracks and mildew grew no matter how many times I treated it with Clorox (once it’s in, it’s in). And there your only option is either total replacement or cleaning out what you can and refinishing it with a Grout Repair kit.Mallbaola supplied some basic items in case you don’t have any including masking tape, soft and coarse sponges for cleanup, and a handy roller/application square. True you can buy more expensive tools to do this work, but if all you need to do is one-time basic repair work then this kit will do you. Because in the end, for busy people like me, you want to get in there and get it done so you can get back to your life.Pros• Everything you need is in the kit – except for sharp scissors• Applicators and tubes are ready for use – all you have to do is trim the tips of the tubes to match the width of your grout (don’t forget this step! Make sure they are the same size or you will have a lot of waste and cleanup)• Handy instructions will walk you through if you have never done this before. Read carefully and take your time to practice. End result is worth it.Cons• The applicator stick took a bit of getting used to. Hence why I recommend practice. But overall, it’s rather nice having one item with both ends being what you need right there.Homeownership can be a wonderful thing. It can also be a pain. And you want everything looking nice for you, your family and your guests. This kit will help you get things back to all shiny and shipshape. Just don’t forget to reapply the sealant!

This was easy to use for my master shower floor where the original grout had crumbled. I just wish it was a little bit darker, but it's nice overall.

This DID NOT work for me. Both of the tubes were OLD and dried out. The material would not come out of the tubes. When I screwed off the caps ... on both tubes ... I could only pull the material out by hand. It was kinda like old dried up chewing gum.

Excellent product, it is much better than I thought.

First time working with grout....usually using caulk for tubs/toilets/sinks....but had approx 1/8-1/4 inch gap in floor tile and new front door. Pictures to follow.After a sort of failed attempt and using the enclosed tape, I opted for a nice large width blue painters tape. AND learned better how to force the grout down into the approx 1/4-1/2 inch gap. So while it turned out OK, and being a single guy who cares more about the job getting done than overall "matching" color. It worked.However, as the pictures show it was a yellow not a beige (unless i don't know my colors?).Again, it worked and will have some touch up from what looks to be air bubbles after curing. But having looked at color online and then actual it was NOT a match for what I wanted.

Product was easy to apply and clean,although when dried product came up when sweeping it diid not adhere to existing grout ..I cleaned/scraped off the old grout followed the instructions . Tried it looked great but this product di not work for me.

First off, what a great company! They messaged me if I needed any help with their product even before it arrived to my house!Second, this was more like a paint than a grout which ended up being a better choice for my application. I love that they included everything I was going to need for my bathtub project, so I didn’t have to go out and buy more stuff.The application tip was easy to use, the tape led to quick and easy cleanup, and it dried a lot faster than I had expected, given I live in a humid climate.Will definitely be using this again when the grouts gets a little dingy. I even have enough to freshen up my sisters bathtub.Win!!
