You get a large amount of perlite and I used it all! Then ordered more. This really saved my lawn (clover/grass), vegetable garden, flowers and the new trees and bushes. Almost nothing was growing when we moved to a new home. The climate and land are difficult, ranging from very boggy to drought-dry. Perlite balances soil's water content, absorbing or releasing moisture, depending on conditions. It loosens the soil, which was needed in clay areas. Characteristics - minimal dust, some expansion when wet, easy to work with. Caution - perlite and similar products don't contain nutrients, but do replace a small amount of soil, which does contain them. Added nutrients help: compost (Black Earth brand, leaves, etc), other amendments depending on the plant's requirements. Flowers, bushes, trees and vegetables are thriving. Lawn looked great, even with last years record-setting drought. Great product.

Great product, great price. Mix it with your potting soil, potting soil becomes better.

Works well. Used for more drainage and also straight as a growing medium for small starts. Large quantity and comes in resealable bag which makes it easy to store the leftover for later use.

Hands down best quality perlite it’s not huge but it’s big enough. Low to no dust. The pieces stay in tact. It does exactly as it’s supposed to do. And the bag is huge. More than plenty. I use it as a soil amendment but I also use it for propagation. This is the only brand I’m using from now on.

The product is fine. I'm just a bit disappointed that only about half of it was the advertised 3-6mm size. And most of that was closer to 3mm or 4mm than 5mm or 6mm. I'll use the larger particles I sifted for bonsai, the other half I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Regular potting soil additive I guess. It's a great price, comes packaged well. Just not exactly what I was expecting.

Good amount of perlite. It mixes well with my other potting mix ingredients. Not overly dusty. All perlite tends to be somewhat dusty, and it's probably not a good thing to be breathing in, so if you are going to dump the entire bag out at once, it's probably a good idea to wear a dust mask. I scoop it out as needed, so I don't bother. The bag it comes in has a zip top so you can reseal it without having to transfer it to another container.

Was bigger then I expected but worked out okay .
