It is deff not firm. It looks very nice on my cedar chest and keeps the cats off the top. It looks plush but when you sit on it .. it’s just ok

Q: Is there a square option for a single chair?

I never tried it on a chair. The one I ordered is very long to fit my bench. It is made so nice and tight that I doubt you could fold it in the middle to cover the chair seat and the back of chair. Sorry...my answer is no.

Q: How do you plump the cushion? I've had mine out of the plastic for two days and it is still relatively flat.

This did not ship as a compressed item. It arrived ready to use and the thickness matches the item description. It’s quite comfortable and I especially like the anti-slip strip that keeps it in place.
