Perfect- above expectations
I am a Bosch fanatic. All my equipment is Bosch (im Greek not German - but have lots of German friends!) . But when I did research and comparisons, this unit rose above the bosch units. So I went with this one.I really like this unit. I have used it outdoors and indoors. I double checked my measurements for the first month with a tape measure. NOW I dont even second guess.Perfect little unit and really easy to use.

Precision Meets Practicality – A Must-Have for Pros
As a contractor, I rely on accurate measurements daily, and this 330Ft laser measure delivers. The pointfinder camera is a game changer for outdoor use—no more guessing in bright light. The P2P tech is incredibly handy for indirect measurements, and the app connectivity makes it easy to document and share data right from the job site. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time, and the build feels rugged enough for real-world work. It’s compact, accurate, and smart—exactly what I need on the job. Highly recommend to fellow pros.

5 stars
This laser measuring tape is amazing. I can use it indoors, outdoors, for smaller projects, for larger projects. For everything. The accompanying app keeps track of everything you're measuring so you can forget the pen & paper. I love that it's rechargeable and the battery charge last a long time. The screen is bright enough to easily see without straining. Overall, this device is very user friendly and easy to use.

Excellent outdoor long distance rangefinder
The media could not be loaded. This product is uniquely designed to measure long distances (up to 165 feet) outdoorsIt uses a red dot laser which is difficult to see in daylight. But, it has an internal camera which you aim at the object to measure. Once cross hairs appear in the image, like a gun scope, you press a button and get the reading in feet our meters. In broad daylight, I measured a tree trunk’s distance up to 122 feet. I was able to shoot distances around a property quicker than using a wheel. For one measure, there was no barrier so my companion walked to the property line and I measured to his back. It has an app that records the measures, but it needs improvementI highly recommend this product.

Not for professionals
I hang signs, graphics and banners for large conventions and shows, everything must be perfect and laser distance measures are a huge time saver for me ,, Other guys still fish their tape, claiming they don't trust their accuracy. I trust them just fine and don't show up for work without one. I have 2 Bosch, the red and the green. Other than eating up batteries pretty quick, they are perfect for what I do, but am always looking to see what else is out there. At 1st glance this seems to have the stats of the Bosch, but it doesn't and I will tell you why.* Rotating screen - This is mandatory for hanging banners, else you'd have to crane your neck to see the readout, or learn to read upside. This one does have that.* Main problem is you can't select continuous measurement by default, you always have to give the measure button a long press, then it goes into continuous. Then it emits a series of short beeps, a useless and annoying feature that only eats up batters [could likely mute it, didn't try] Bosch, it stays in the mode you were before, unless and until you change it, then it will stay in that one, so mine is always on continuous. I} turn mine on and off dozens of times a day to conserve batteries, a required long press every single time to get in continuous mode would be ludicrous and a time eater. In fact, every laze I have seen, even cheap $40 ones, have continuous mode as an option.* Big number feature, I need that. Don't want to be squinting to read little numbers ,, This one has that, but guess what ? For whatever reason, and unlike the Bosch, big numbers cannot be used in continuous mode, the 1 mode I need to use. One of those flaws was enough for me but 2 combined was a no brainer deal breaker, I can't use this thing.* 3 AAA's, hmmm. Bosch use 2 AA's those drain quick enough, this has about the same size screen so it would too. So 3 AAA and probably about equal to 2 AA not sure, I do know I hate AAA gadgets and try to avoid them like the plague. Sure you can use rechargeables but they aren't practice in their field, they will run out and you have to buy spares anyhow. High drain devices, use AA sheeshThis is nice looking, feature packed and easy to use, would be fine for around the house but falls flat for serious use, maybe they'll make a software revision in another model to fix these shortcomings.

The APP Sucks! It crashes every time I try to open up a photo to add measurements to
My measuring tool arrived today and I excitedly opened up the box, downloaded the software, and began testing it. It is substantially smaller than the Bosch GLM400C. Some early Bluetooth issues aside I was happy with the device and found it to measure 12" right on par with a metal ruler I placed beside it. So far so good, right? Then I started trying to draw room walls and that worked as expected. THEN I tried using the photo annotation feature. Firstly, the device DOES NOT save and pass photos through into the workspace on your phone. You must use images that are already on your paired phone, or else take a new picture with the phone. EVERY TIME I tried to open up a photo to start adding measurements to the app crashed. Every. Single. Time. And I tried about 20+ times, after trying the usual things like un-pairing and re-pairing the tool with my phone, completely uninstalling the Smart Life app and re-installing, rebooting the phone, etc. Nothing stopped the app from crashing every time I tried opening up a picture to add measurements to. For this reason alone I give this product 1-Star, because the APP sucks!
