William Morris Textiles

What a brilliant book
I am surprised to find that I am the first person to review this book. It is produced by the Victoria and Albert museum and written by Linda Parry so I assumed I could guarantee its quality and authority, and I was not disappointed. It is slightly expensive but then it is a high quality book full of illustrations. It not only covers woven and printed textiles but also the tapestries and embroideries produced by William Morris and his family and associates. The methods of design and production are explored and there are several examples I had never seen before. If you are at all interested in art, design, social history, or the arts and crafts movement then you will enjoy this book.

Sublime!
Adore Morris's work. This is a fabulous book of his textiles, and makes a great addition to my modest but growing collection of books on his art and the Arts and Crafts Movement generally. It has given me hours of pleasure - and inspired much envy! If only I could afford his wallpaper....!

An informative book .
An informative book ,which has a catalogue of all known repeating designs for woven and printed textiles ,produced by Morris and Co. .However, I think more illustrations in colour would have improved this book .
