Q: Does this come with the adapter to connect it a M12/18 tire infatlor?

No adapter enclosed, but when I asked about it, L&L said they custom-cut ones specifically for the M18/12 compressor. They told me that the OTC adapters tend to leak, so they've improved the design. Available soon on Amazon, but for now, it's a direct purchase only.

Q: what is the difference between the open flow or closed flow?

The open air chuck allows air to flow through freely without engaging the valve stem. If you push down on the trigger, air will still pass through the air chuck, even if its not engaged with the valve stem. The open air chuck designed for usage with systems that have hand/foot-controlled valves such as in-line gauges with a trigger, or automatic tire inflators. The closed air chuck must be engaged with the valve stem in order for air to pass through. Works with all systems except for computerized commercial-grade systems.

Q: Will it fit a portable tire inflator?

If you’re replacing an existing chuck on an inflator with this one, you’ll likely need to add an adapter to properly fit it into this one… I used a 1/4 inch I.d nibbed adapter and a clamp to fit the air-hose end I was repairing for a 3/8 inch air line with inner diameter too small for what was included in the kit.

Leaks like crazy

I’ve been wanting to buy this for awhile but never pulled the trigger due to its price. Finally bought it and it leaks like crazy. Could never get a good seal on the valve. Returning.

Fantastic bit of equipment

This exceeded my expectations. The unit screwed straight onto my air hose and make a solid connection everytime, looking forward to airing up my tyres when 4wding now, it used to be a pain.

Secure attachment with no air leak.

I purchased the closed version to replace the air chuck that came standard on my ARB digital gauge. The stock ARB chuck fit loose and always leaked air. After replacing the stock ARB chuck with this, I am much happier! It clamps on tightly and securely but most importantly, it does not allow air to leak.Great product!
