I never write reviews, but I had to this time. I live in the country, and I have a terrible ant problem every summer. They get into my dog and cat food, and I was at my wits end. Of course, I tried putting the food bowls in water, but that just made a terrible mess. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this product, but I had nothing to lose, so I tried it. It is fantastic! It keeps the ants out, and they eventually go away. The best part is I don't have to use chemicals around my pets. I wish I could give it ten stars.

Works! Looks nicer than antster for 1/3 the price!We discovered our new home has an extensive ant problem, and bought an antster food bowl stand for $70 (which works great but is ugly). These are less expensive, slightly different in design, but are available in colors that work with many decors!So glad I found a more economical solution, because I don't know what we would do without these cat food bowl stands… the ants are relentless. I watched one climb the side of our island, and extend its body in the air, toward the top of the pad, trying to reach the cat food. If they ever figure out how to make an ant bridge, I’m doomed. I recommend moving the pad/bowls several inches away from wall/islands.We clean them daily, and during high ant season, I add soapy water into the base (like the antster).

Work exactly as Advertised

This worked well with keeping the ants off of our outdoor cat’s food. Before this, ants would be trailing to his food dish in a matter of minutes. After using it I can gladly say that the ants can’t get to our cat’s food and barely found in our cat’s eating area.After seeing how well it worked I ordered one for our chicken who is in confinement from the other chickens as she is recovering from an illness. I have a small casserole dish that I’ve been placing her supplemental feed and salads in daily. Before the tray ants would swarm to her food. As soon as I received her tray we used it and happy to report that there were no ants attacking her food! I placed her tray on top of a brick to elevate it off of the ground. The only thing is that I’ve had to add a grippy no-skid adhesive pad to the top of the tray so her dish wouldn’t slide off of the tray which is made of hard plastic. Chickens have the tendency to scratch the ground and she attempts to pull the dish down with her feet, which she has done several times before I used the grippy adhesive pad (made of foam or rubber?) which I already had on hand. The company of the tray includes a Velcro sticker to stick onto the tray and bottom of the pet food dish but I chose not to use it only because I wash her dish and Velcro would easily get wet, soapy, and perhaps stuck with food debris while washing.Overall I’m happy with this purchase and I’m ordering another one for our other cat. In the future I’d like to see a rectangle and square shaped tray.

I was getting ants in my apartment and they were making there way all the way across to my cats food bowl well bought this and it works perfect it elevates his Automatic feeder so the ants can no longer get to it but it still does not impede the function of the feeder itself A+

This is the greatest invention! I feed stray cats outside and I was getting a lot of those little ants in their food. I got this handy disc and I haven’t had 1 ant in their food. I got a smaller dish so there’s a little room on the disc for some treats too! I got my mom one too for her cats and she hasn’t had any issues either!! I totally recommend this if you have ant issues.

This product works great! Ants can't figure out how to get on it, and it's unobtrusive and relatively easy to clean... as long as nothing gets inside! But your pet would have to be pretty sloppy for that to happen. In my original setup I thought it wasn't working, but it turns out my cat had pushed the bowl against a hanging curtain, which the ants used as a bridge. One non-slip mat later, it's been perfect ever since! The provided velcro stickers were very helpful; the surface isn't perfectly smooth, but my eager old kitty can push a bowl pretty far.The only two things I would ask as an improvement is a less garish color, like black, or gray; and a smaller size. Teal/blue and white stand out pretty well in my home. Since my cat's bowl has a tapered bottom, I also don't need the full size, but it would be perfect for a dog bowl with sloping sides. Still, this is the only ant prevention container for my pet's food that's worked for me!

Ya no molestan las hormigas…por lo que creo es eficaz. Lleva más de dos semanas instalado y sencillamente, desapareció el problema.

Había estado funcionando perfectamente, me llegó a finales de julio de este año, pero el día de hoy 10 de septiembre, me di cuenta que el plato de mi perro estaba lleno de hormigas. El plato no estaba en contacto con nada que las hormigas pudieran utilizar de puente. Lo llene de agua por todos lados para quitar las hormigas y espero que continúe funcionando. Si así es, regresaré a cambiar la calificación.

Tenía un mar de hormigas todos los días en el plato. Una vez que ocupé el producto jamás volví a padecer de hormigas

Que coraje, lo compré porque estoy harta de que las hormigas se suban a la comida de mi gata, y tenía la esperanza de que realmente funcionara. Que decepción qué no tardaron ni 3 horas en subirse de nuevo al plato con todo y "pseudo plataforma antihormigas". Fue casi como una burla ver todas las hormigas qué estaban en el plato una vez más.
