The steamer is great for outwear and delicate fabric. I also use it in domestic cleaning to steam old fat or durt in the kitchen. But it's easier to use iron for majority of clothes.

Does spit out water droplet on dress caused bit panic at last minute before we go out.

I've never used any kind of clothes steamer before, let alone a travel one, so I was very interested to see this one in action.Coming from a well known brand I had high hopes for this steamer and I wasn't disappointed.The steamer is very compact, the handle folds up to take up even less space, and with the handle folded the whole appliance fits neatly into the included carry bag. There is even a Velcro strap on the mains cable to keep that tidy too.On the subject of the mains cable it is quite a thick cable which means it doesn't flex as easy as I would like but I guess that's for electrical safety reasons so I will let that one slide, it is also long enough for you to not be tethered down to the nearest mains outlet.Once the steamer is unpacked and the handle is unfolded it is simply a case of filling up the water tank and turning it on. Within just a few seconds it is ready to use.Using the steamer is a doddle, just hang your garment up and slowly go over it with the steamer, any creases simple fall right out.Due to the compact size and simplicity, no ironing board needed, this steamer is great to throw in an overnight bag so you can be confident of looking your best no matter what the state of your clothes are when you take them out of the bag.Overall a great travel steamer that works like magic and means you don't have to rely on an iron and board no matter where you are travelling to.

I was able to use this on a recent trip and was pleased with the performance of it. I find that it's really simple to use; just unscrew the little tank at the back, add water and wait a short moment whilst it heats up - it takes around 30 seconds.I've often been using it on more lightweight shirts and skirts, and it's done at great job at making them look fresh and crease free. It's also easy to keep around as it comes with its own carry bag, and even though it does have a bit of heft to it, it's still nothing compared to carrying an iron around!I have also tried it on much thicker materials and clothings and I find that it's still quite capable, but it won't work miracles to iron out the creases on stiffer fabrics. However, this is still more than suitable for the majority of clothes that I do have, and it seems a lot less heavy handed than an iron so I don't have to worry about damaging thin fabrics either. I'm very happy with this.

I ordered the Tefal steamer as i've had a number of functions to attend over the last few weeks and my wifes dresses needed creases taken out whilst staying at the hotel. We were very sceptical about using hotel irons given the general features and cleanliness.The Tefal steamer arrived well packaged and as expected on opening the packaging, found a high quality product. It's unique selling point is that it's travel friendly and compact, which is achieved through the handles ability to fold making it less bulky and awkward.The steamer is a good size, fairly light weight and has 2m cord which more enough to use. When starting to use the steamer, it takes just under 30 seconds to heat up and once started it doesn't take long to get going. The tank on the steamer is quite small in capacity which requires topping up every so often, but I guess this should be expected given it's a comp[act travel friendly steamer.From a steam output perspective it was perfectly adequate for average creases but the tougher creases required more time and attention. The steamer will have a good go at getting out tough creases but manage your expectations it's not a full replacement for a good quality iron.It does come with a handle travel case for easy storage and brush attachment to help attack creases in thicker fabrics. Overall it's a excellent quality product and a real must have for travelling when attending functions.

This travel steamer is OK, but there are better ones available on Amazon for a similar price. My biggest criticism is that it is not dual voltage, so it is not a true ‘go anywhere’ travel appliance. You cannot use this in countries with 110 Volt power supplies (e.g. USA and Caribbean). The folding design is nice, but the round shape of the head means it is still quite bulky, even when folded. A flat head design would fold more compactly. Also, the power cable is quite thick and inflexible, which detracts from easily packing this into its bag. Finally, the tank is pretty small (70ml). It really only gives you enough steam for one garment.
