I bought this because I volunteer for a place that has birds of prey and I was eventually allowed to work with a hawk who had been abused by his former owners. I didn't want to annoy my boss every time I needed a glove because they are kept in her house (the birds obviously not!). I wanted to be able to spend time with the hawk more often, so I decided to get my own glove but couldn't spend a fortune. I found this glove and am very happy with the looks and feel of it. The Harris hawk had to get used to the dangly bit at the bottom but seems fine with it now. Obviously, the glove will be fine for smaller birds of prey, too, e.g. screech owls and Tawnies. Tame snowy owls should be fine, too, if you know they get along with you. For anything bigger though, I would recommend a tougher glove. Not sure whether I'd want to carry an Eagle Owl on this glove - or a GRUMPY Snowy Owl.
