World Peacekeepers SAS 12" Action Figure

I am a grownup toy collector and hobbyist and I bought a few of these action figures as a companion for Barbie dolls. They are the same height as a Barbie and I'm going to be honest here...these guys are WAY cooler, more masculine and way better looking than any Ken doll could ever hope to be! First of all they look like REAL men. Each character is made with a different face mold (unlike a lot of girl's toys!) and has its own detail and personality. The face detail is AWESOME and very human-like! They all seem to have distinctly different noses, lips and eyes. They come in a variety of hair colors and races too. The body is also cool looking. These guys have great abs and muscle definition that doesn't go overboard and still has realism. They don't look like steroided freaks. They just resemble normal buff guys who work out.Each one also has his own clothing (most are dressed in some variation of camouflage) special weapons, gear and a job. The weapons have great detail and most can be gripped by the hand of the action figure. They have guns, grenades and various other items depending on their job. Some parents may feel that toys like this promote violence but I feel that these are made more to be educational than anything else. This actually seems like a GREAT way for kids to learn about the military. I am a very girly-girl and even I got curious and found myself looking up military stuff just to see how true to life these toys are. I must say, in an educational sense the toys are really accurate! These are guys who keep the peace...They are not 'bad guys' and I think the fact that they are modeled after real men with real jobs is really cool and sends a positive message rather than a violent one.The best thing about this toy is the 30 articulation points. These guys can be posed in just about ANY position. The torso hips and all the joints move. The head rotates AND can be moved up and down. The toy is also made from a good, strong plastic that seems hard to break. I never realized just how much better quality boy's toys are than girls! Girl's dolls like Barbie and Liv have much more fragile joints and need to be handled with care. The World Peacekeepers on the other hand, look like they are made to withstand a little more rough play. Any doll or action figure can break obviously but these toys seem built to last. Why can't companies make girl's toys this durable?Overall, I am really happy with these toys. They look handsome next to Barbie, they are educational, durable and they have great detail. These are great boy's toys and they may even make a few girls happy too...especially if those girls have a Barbie who isn't into wimpy guys like Ken. These guys are way hotter than Ken and would totally kick his butt in a toy war. I have only three of them so I may have to get more!
