It's very common for Amazon to make more on commission than the sellers. We've found many sellers do not even account for margins and fees.

Q: Is the0.05 diameter wire the correct gauge for making hose clamps for my car

No. You better buy an actual hose clamp from the auto supply store. Especially if it’s under pressure. The wire will never hold anything under that kind of pressure.
