Not very well made and very easy to solve.
It is nowhere close to 8/10 difficulty - none of the people who tested this have taken more than a minute to figure it out.I suspect that if the "lock" mechanism were made with slightly tighter tolerances that it would substantially increase the time it takes to open it, but as received this one has so much slop that it's almost ready to fall open. I think it is still a very clever idea, just not well executed.

Lunatic Lock, I'm not a lunatic yet...
OK, after solving locks such as the Danlock and a couple Popplocks, I guess I was expecting more. First, the construction, the picture makes it look nicer than it is. The exterior of the puzzle has a "brushed aluminum" look, but it looks like it was sanded with an electric hand sander to give it that look. Not nice and flat but obvious sanding marks. Not terrible, but not really nice looking. Nothing else was really nice and smooth either, OK but not really good. All the moving parts are also a bit sloppy, possibly making it easier to solve.As for the puzzle, I solved it about 5 minutes, not really inducing any "lunatic" behaviors in myself. For a beginner with puzzle locks, I imagine that it would take longer, maybe an hour or several days playing with it for a few minutes each day. Maybe. It would probably be a good puzzle for kids.For a relatively inexpensive puzzle, it's probably worth it for a beginner, I wouldn't rate it intermediate or 8 of 10 though. The "trick" is decent, but not really mind boggling.

I liked the challenge.
Some of my friends gave up after ten minutes. I enjoyed the challenge. It's different since you can't see anything until it's solved. I liked this different style of puzzle.

Nice Puzzle, but very late
I really enjoy this puzzle. It's still challenging after you figure it out because you must have everything exact. It did arrive 1 month after the estimate, however, so don't expect fast shipping. I'm very glad I was patient, though, because this is a great puzzle to fit in your pocket and pull out anytime!
