SOTUS, Vol. 1 (SOTUS (manga), 1)

I bought volume one here but other two at a convention (they didn't have volume 1 in stock.)It's such a faithful adaption of the novel and the artwork is really nice. If you've seen the drama (Free to legally watch on youtube) somethings will be different here, as the time it was made certain things were changed because of what was allowed or budget etc, so again follows the novel not the live. But really well done. Also it makes me so happy to be able to physically hold one of the Thai series I love the most from a publisher here. When I got into Thai dramas and novels it was barely known, and now the series that made me fall in love with the drama, has a manga that's been translated to English? Amazing! I do hope one day the novels get a physical English release as well and am so happy the Thai dvd release has English subtitles.

I've seen Sotus on Netflix, and I like it. SotusS and Skyy on Yt. Wished Netflix would have kept the series.

Having no knowledge of the drama or story going into this I know I can review this with little to no bias. I was excited to try out something different than my normal tastes and prior to this the only thing Thai I’ve had is the food.SOTUS disappointed me in the beginning. It didn’t really pull me in. I found the hazing part more of a turn off to the story than anything. The romance is a slow burn which I’m fine with but I felt like barely anything happened in the first volume to keep me entertained. I’ll continue onto volume 2 just to see if I’m being too judgy or the story just needs more time.***Kingpob kept throwing me as his name sounds like King Bob from the minions franchise and I kept having to pause to make sure I was reading it correctly :3

Happy to have received the book since I love Sotus but the quality of the cover is terrible. The back bottom corner looks like it was chewed on and the front and back cover have raised bubbles which implies elemental damage. Very disappointed.
