They work pretty fast, normally take them on runs over 45 mins+ and they help a treat.

Q: Is there an age restriction on the gels?

There isn't any noted on the packs we've had, any more than there is for other sport rehydration and/or protein drinks. My son was 11 when he started using them during his workouts at the dojo.
