Does what it says (Golden Field S3000)
I was attracted to this cooler because it reminded me of a Zalman CNPS 7500 (although I think the S3000 may have fewer fins). The fins are a bit flimsy, but I can't expect much more from a cooler of this price.Installation should be straight-forward. I had a few problems with my Gigabyte Z87 Mobo, because my memory is tall (with heatsinks) and the cooler fins creep over one of the memory slots and there isn't enough space for my memory to fit. Normal size memory should be OK though. The fan runs full bore at 2800RPM approx and only has a 3-pin header, so you'll hear it (knocked a review star off for the lack of a 4-pin header). The upside is that it does a good job at cooling the CPU. As the fan blows down at the CPU I would imaging it'd provide some cooling to components around the CPU area too, such as memory and mosfets. Mileage may vary but I was seeing temps between 65C and 70C (warm day, so likely an ambient temp of 25C). It's likely 10C better than a stock Intel cooler. My CPU is a 4670k and was running slightly OC'd at 4Ghz.The fan has lighting and changes colours randomly - which looks quite pretty.Pretty good value for a decent CPU cooler.

Looks cool
Looks neat, will hopefully upload a picture when its finished (nothing fancy) like others it wasnt clear to me if it came with any paste or not so had some added to the order, in the box there is a small packet, just enough for what you need, not sure how good its going to be, but even with the fan not connected its working better than the original that died. My only gripe is the install was a pain! Ive built a few PCs and work with servers all day, but hooking that clip over at the end! Wow! In the end, found it easiest to remove the power supply and get my hand in the gap with a flat head screw driver to ease it into place... obviously if your building something from the start it wont matter as much. And it is now solid so not looking forward to removing it.

kinda good kinda bad
Was very fiddly to install but once it was in it was sturdy, it's quite big so had to move a fan to make way for it but my CPU is down from 60 to 40 which is a great inprovement. The box it came in was bashed to hell and the cooler itself didn't even look new tbh it was scratched in places, no instructions at all, not even a diagram. Thermal paste looked really bad, I used my own but I wouldn't recommend using it if you get this cooler. You get what you pay for and I just needed this to last a year until I upgrade my cpu so I can't complain too much. Definitely looks good! no idea how to change the colour of the RGB though.

Cheap and cheerful
First time fitting this type of cooler intel, was a little confused about how to as there was no instructions in box either. Found a video on YouTube. was easy once knew how. The video stated low cooling efficiency and didn't recommend it, I had no other choice to use it and installed cpu temp monitoring software on pc. My boy is homeschooling (covid) and gaming (fornite) on it for most of the day, everyday for weeks now with no issues and hasn't hit above 50degrees

this is quite a large fan so make sure it will fit
This is a bargain my exspensive fan broke so i needed something quick and fast and cheap and this ticked all the boxes. It is quite a large fan i wouldnt reccomend if you dont have a full sized motherboard . but other than the size this thing is perfect works great getting 60c on my processor which for my PC is amazing would highly reccomend this product

Mounting system is secure but a beast to fit on AM4
The media could not be loaded. The cooler is quiet and the fan speed changes with temperature. I was surprised by the coolers size and it ma interfere with the first ram slot on some motherboards.I am using this on an AM4 motherboard to cool a 1700x at stock speed, and it reaches 75C under the stress test in cpuz which is better then the stock cooler on my 3900x, however mounting this was a pain had to use a pen and loads of force to get the clips on like another review here mentions, hence 4 stars

This thing is a blast, killer performance. Check your dimensions before fitting....its huge!!!
I was surprised how big it was when I opened the box. I mean its huge.. Unfortunately after close inspection I found that fan is not spinning freely, the whole fan was off centre. Turned out one of the mounting screws fell out, perhaps during transport ... that was a easy fix , I didn't want to bother with return as I needed a cooler like right now . Then it came to install... again not without the problems , mainly because i decided to fit tt on MATX platform, there was not enough clearance between heatpipes and RAM . Eventually fitted it heatpipes facing other way than it shows on the photos. Once fitted this thing is a blast...knocked off nearly 16 degrees of my cpu temp on full loads plus it keeps my chipset cool as well. So overall very happy with this fan. LEDs look cool too ...synced with my rgb controller No problem.

From 98C to 45C!
You get a lot for the money - components look good quality and installation (although fiddly) is well thought out once you get your head around it. My CPU was idling at 70-80C and when gaming getting up to 98C on stock cooler. After replacing with this cooler I get 25-30C idling , and 45-50C gaming! Absolutely amazing difference and has also upped performance as my CPU was throttling. Allowed me to get more out of my now 10 year old i5 2500K. Would recommend, qreat quality at this price point and made a huge difference for me.
