Superb
Giving a new to me 2nd hand guitar a bit of TLC - after taking the strings off to give full access i used these to give the frets a buff. They are 'sided' so one side has the texture and the other side is smooth. The packaging also doubles as a fretboard cover so you don't mark the wood.It was so easy I then loosened off the strings on another guitar and gave those frets a polish too - I hadn't realised they needed it but these cleaned them up and made them shine.Great value for money - I really like d'addario products, the guitar detailing polish is excellent for getting your paint back to super shiny.

A cheap disposable option that work well - with a bit of effort!
I used this as a 'quick' (LOL) fix for cleaning the tarnished frets on a second hand classical guitar. The product worked as described but took a great deal of effort and elbow grease to clean moderately dirty frets. It took me over an hour of repeated buffing with the cleaning cloths to get the frets to an acceptable standard and shine. I was quite pleased with the end result but will buy a higher quality set of pads and metal fret protector next time.It is handy for using as a one-off disposable product and did the job well - eventually!

Easy to use, ideal for cleaning up your grubby frets
This simple polish system is really handy, I recently got a couple of guitars and their frets were in good condition but had grease like dirt on them. Using this system I polished them up in no time and I dont mind buying another pack to keep for future use when needed. Dont expect miricles but they do a great job on grimey frets.

These are okay
These things will take tarnishing and gunk off your frets, don't shave off any discernable fret material and don't damage your fretboard. If you were to use these after every string change on a guitar from new, I can see them being a very effective way at having good condition frets for a longer time. However, that's where the good points end.The amount of effort required to polish your frets with these is understated. It'll take about an hour if you're refurbing a particularly well used guitar, or a neglected second hand acquisition. These are effectively thick textured fabric, and you really have to give it some welly if you want them to do their job.If you use these to give your frets a quick clean after every string change, they definitely are an effective way to do that; but for anything else 000 steel wool is far quicker and far more effective. These will not polish your frets up to a mirror shine, but they will get mild grime or mild tarnishing off, and will make more neglected frets look and feel a lot better.

Works a treat
Brought an old guitar that had been lying for years back to life! Also bought the cheap guards as well though the paper one includded will do for 1 aplication. You get 4 cloths, used 2 so far on different guitars and more than satisfied with the results.Really make a difference to the feel of the strings when you are bending notes.

Surprisingly good
I bought these because I was given a guitar , the frets were tarnished, tough and dull through lack of use, at first I thought they didn’t work but I had the cloth the wrong way around 😂,, so after I realised I was an idiot and read the instructions they worked surprisingly well, , coupled with some metal fret guards I’d bought they took all the tarnish off and polished the frets up well and with not a lot of effort , will buy these again when I’ve used them up

Cleaned my frets up nicely
Won't do wonders but does the job.Bought these as I got a guitar off of eBay with fairly mucky frets, rusty strings/pole pieces, etc. Anyway, these managed to clear most of the tarnishing without any need for taping the fretboard or risk scratching it. The template was handy enough for something so basic. Now have a bit of shine to the frets where there was none but a few patches of tarnishing left. There are cheaper options, like using steel wool and masking tape, but this was just ready to go out of the pack.

Bought my frets back to shine
This was my first time cleaning the frets on my acoustic guitar and this was pretty easy to use. Simply use the provided sheets to rub away at your frets, using the cardboard template also provided to sit around your fret, protecting the fret board. There are 5 sheets that can be reused, depending on how much grease and dirt they pick up.
