Great brightness and Kelvin daylight rating for an exceptional value
I like the brightness and I prefer the daylight Kelvin rating that these offer. I am a 54 year old man that uses two of them in my home office. Most people would only need one and like the warm white "color." I am working on cataracts so the brightness is fantastic for me. I could not have asked for a better solution for my particular needs and they are really inexpensive.

Installation guidance not accurate
Pay attention. Instruction is not accurate. Step 1 fixture A was changed to fixture B on Step 2. Also if you already have outer in your ceiling, you can ignore step 1-3 and start from Step 4 directly.Apart from confusion on installation, the light is bright. Exactly what I am looking for.

Fantastic look for inexpensive lights
Easy to install, very lightweight and looks amazing. Note- these are NOT adjustable, so select the color range and brightness you want. I went with a warm tone but very bright- and they are a big upgrade from my builder-basic lights I had previously. Now it’s much brighter in my laundry room, plus I’m saving energy with LEDs.

All Plastic
I was looking for Philips LED 5"/6" downlights that had a metal trim, it was difficult to tell from the Amazon stock photos and the specs said "metal" and "plastic". I'm here to report that the 5/6" Integrated Bulb and Baffle Trim Retrofit Downlight EyeComfort Technology, Dimmable, 1000 Lumens, 2700K-5000K, T20 Certified, Energy Star, 4-Pack White are indeed entirely plastic. The first light I opened from the box you could see a curve in the trim so you know that the trim isn't going to sit perfectly flush.

Good value
These provide better light than the similarly priced retrofit downlights from the big orange store.I’m pretty happy with these. I just wish they were dim-to-warm like the Philips Ultra Definition bulbs.

High quality and versatile.
Love that you can change the color temperature on the unit, allows you to test the color temperature in the space, which is more useful that I had expected. Depending on the paint colors in the room and what the room is used for you may be surprised which color temperature is the correct one. Dimming is flawless. High quality product.

Slim, Light, Easy to Install, Name Brand, But, Whoa, Bright
What was received?I received a two (2) blue square retail like cardboard packages that had lots of information and pictures of the product on it, plus the brand name, Philips; each had a size being near square at about 13”, other than thickness, at a slim (3”) and weighing just over one (1) pound each. [I thought each big.InsideInside of course was the light. It was packaged perfectly with cardboard, but no plastic bag.Country of origin?ChinaPerformanceI think it’s a super bright, and a super white light, it’s 5000K on the scale, versus a soft light is a fraction of that. So, it’s all about the lighting look desired. I also saw no reference to the lightings CRI (color rendering index). It’s an excellent light that I think for me, is best in an area that I want more of an industrial look for my lighting, rather than something that compliments skin tones.Specifications?1,500 lumens, 90W of light drawing 20W of power.Dimmable?Yes.ETL listed?Yes, I appreciate that.ETL/UL CertificationThere is an ETL certification on the light. That’s a positive, for me. I prefer certification. An ETL or UL certification is a third-party organization’s mark to certify the product [for Safety – that’s important for electrical whatever’s]. Having UL/ETL Marks are proof of product compliance to North American safety standards. Ask any electrical inspector. A product with UL or ETL Listed Marks are proof of product compliance to published industry standards, it’s a symbol of safety.Like my refusal to be driven in a speeding car that has no seat belt; I will not use anything electrical that has not passed muster by a third-party organization, such as ETL/UL/CSA. It’s just common sense on a safety issue. Is certification required?A certification isn't a requirement to sell an electronic device in the US. But do I really want to trust a device that the manufacturer did not want a third-party to certify? Typically, certifications are noted. Again, I DO see an ETL certifications on this lighting, hooray.ValueThe price is very competitive, for this level of quality.I hope my thoughts added information.
