Rhythm Band Music Staff Paper (SP2367)

I've been a musician for many years (organ, piano) but am a beginner to recorder. There are no local recorder teachers in my area, so I selected, willy-nilly, a beginning recorder book that I could use to teach myself. I was very pleased with this book. It walked me through learning the notes in a nice progression, and what I especially liked was that the lesson songs were "adult" - no "Hot Cross Buns" or that type of kiddy song. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone starting out to learn recorder. I liked it so much I purchased Book Two of the series and am currently working with that.

Haven't started it yet - still in the beginner book, but I love this method for adults for learning to play the recorder - it uses classical (baroque) music for most of the exercises, rather than a 'dumbed down' contemporary setting.

I am not ready to use this book yet but I LOVED Book ONE and wanted to use this one next. I love the way one note and fingering is taught at a time and then several tunes are next, just using the fingerings you know.

this is a good book. I am enjoying it.
