Bit of fun
Making a catamaran out of baked bean tins these will just fit in one tin on each side we will see if it’s possible or not

Good starter kit - good prop assembly, but terrible motors
Very happy to get this assembly which helped my son and I with a basic catamaran build. Props have opposite twists to avoid 'prop walk'. Shafts and links all worked fine. Motor housings a welcome addition too. HOWEVER the supplied 130 motors were of very low quality - maybe brushes or commutator not right as the motors would frequently need twisting by hand to get started - so no use for remote control. They also drew a lot of current when unloaded which is not a good sign. I purchased some other 130 motors which are a straight swap and all now works fine. The supplied 130 (form factor) motors are for 1.5-3VDC . You can also get the 130 with 3-9V rating more appropriate for RC with a 2S (7.4v) battery pack. The boat is about 30cm long and goes at a slow walk with 3x1.3v batteries - so I may uprate the motors next for a bit more speed...

The propeller shaft and the lining tube are fine. The propeller can be clamped or glued in place. However, both motors had loose connections and worked for a maximum of ten seconds at a time.
