Arts and Culture: An Introduction to the Humanities, Combined Volume

The book touched on histories, religion, geography, etc for several past and current cultures. There were some great pictures which did give me the travel bug but I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought it could've been organized better. When you tried to look back in a chapter to sum up something, you almost had to reread the whole chapter.

We received the text book very quickly and the price for renting the book was much lower than at our college's bookstore - both major plusses. Although I knew I was renting a used textbook, I was a little surprised at how damaged the cover was (it looks like it was in a fire!). However, the inside is totally fine, and as long as I don't have any issues with returning the book in the same condition I will consider this a great rental.

This review is only based on the content of the book. This book goes in depth with the culture and art of numerous civilizations throughout time. It is a very good read if you are interested in the subject. There is a lot of interesting information in this book that gives you a new perspective on humanity throughout time.

I had to rent this book for a class. The material is fantastic but the condition of the book was horrible. Upon opening the box it came in I noticed that it looked very used. As I started my assignments for the Arts and Culture class I am taking, I noticed that the pages were falling out. The more I turned the pages, the more the pages started releasing from the binding. It is apparent that this particular copy has been used a lot.

As far as textbooks go, this one is very readable and thorough. Some of the ways that the more touchy-issues are described (ex: religious things) are a little loaded at times, and usually inaccurate to some degree. But, overall, a great book and a good choice if you're trying to learn about the issue.

I bought this book for school and was pleased at how fast it arrived and that it was the correct book. As a textbook it is laid out pretty well, however there are some typos and I think the text could be a little better organized within each chapter.

The textbook came timely and im pretty good condition. Its a pretty boring read, but its for an art class so to be expected. Happy studying!!

The book had one or two pages that weren’t in order anymore because the pages were falling out. However, all the pages were there so you can still use it.
