Sturdy built quality with sub par clamps
Likes : Solid well finished build quality of the carrier Dislikes : Mounts have to be modified by a local welder for a good fit

The mountings are pathetically impractical.
The roof carriers provided by Overland (for Thar) are good but poorly designed. The mountings which fit in the gutter to provide support to the carrier are designed in such a way that the carrier touches the roof when luggage is mounted over it. This could lead to damage to the fibre roof of Mahindra Thar. Thr is no way one can lift the carrier up by some inches. The manufacturer has build such a good looking carrier but the mounting clamps are insanely bad. in both versions of the carrier (full and half) the mountings make the whole roof carrier a bad buy. Another disappointment is that you cant buy any other mountings separately that could lift the carrier up by atleast 3-5 inches to make it practically useful.
