Great set of slides.
Excellent quality slides. Came with a booklet so you know what you're looking at, unlike others. Only complaint is that the list of items is UNDER the slides. Would be better if they'd position it on the opposite, ie the inside lid.Suggestion: Please make more types of slides!

OUTSTANDING VALUE & OUTSTANDING QUALITY!
These slides are amazing and they are nicely organized in a sturdy little wooden box with a nice closure. These slides are one of the best values that I've found in several years. Imagine buying slides & covers and then getting these materials, staining them and then assembling these specimen slides! VERY pleased with these slides.

Better than expected
The slides are well organized, marked and prepared. The study guide is very helpful and includes a separate multiple language guide. The only recommendation for improvement is to put the index on the inside cover of the box instead of underneath the slides (or both) because the index is hard to read when the slides are in place. The study guide is just a summary of the slide but coupled with an internet search, it's terrific. A budding biologist will eat this up!

Great buy
My son loves anything science related and loves these slides I purchased for Christmas. I opened them before wrapping just to make sure nothing was broke and everything was in tact. The little wooden box/holder is very nice and sturdy and has a label telling you where each slide should be. The only problem I had that others may not have is I opened it (accidentally) upside down, I did so slowly so nothing broke thank God, but the labels were helpful in putting everything back in it’s proper spot. He said the slides show great details.

Good quality set— mostly histological sections. No gross specimens for younger children.
Pretty good quality set. I deducted a star, because I thought it would include larger specimens that would be more appropriate for a young child. Like for example a butterfly wing, insects or iridescent insect parts etc. instead more than half of this set is histological slides— which is great for an older biology student, but did not meet our needs. Not for a 7 year old, unless yours is studying middle school level or high school level biology.

Great addition to the National Geographic microscope
These 25 slides offer a nice variety of anatomy, plants, and mold/algae to go along with our National Geographic microscope. The wooden box is sturdy and excellent for storing the slides. The educational book that comes with the kit is a great teaching aid for children as you look at the slides under the microscope- very helpful for us parents that have forgotten most of our biology!

Nice box and interesting and fun
My 10 year old daughter loves this set. Hours of fun and learning! Box is nice but make sure your child knows which way to open. My daughter opened it the wrong way and all the slides fell out. She had to put all them back in one by one which took awhile.

Slides poorly printed, and covered in residue and fingerprints.
The slides are cool, and have decent pictures in them. Of course, for human body parts they are images only. The problem I had was the pictures were grainy and under a microscope they are clearly badly printed. The slides themselves were FILTHY. They are covered in residue of what I would assume is something they use to wash them before sending them off, but the residue was so thick I had to wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. Several of the slides also had finger prints of whomever handled them last before they were packaged. For something you want clear and crisp for close up viewing... it was a little disappointing. Once cleaned, they are fine for my children to use as a learning experience in our classroom, but I was expecting slightly higher quality from National Geographic.
