I was a little sceptical of these, as I am of most things that make big claims, but have been pleasantly surprised at how well they actually work! So far I've only used them to clean an oven shelf which had a lot of very badly baked on muck and grease (it was second hand, so not even my muck!), and a baking tray with baked on grease (again, 2nd hand). The oven shelf was pretty disgusting - I had to start with scraping the worst off with a knife, and then had worked my way through scrubbing with scouring pads. One of these sponges took a whole load more off, though I will need to go back for another go, perhaps after soaking with some bicarb of soda. The sponge I used did disintegrate as I went, so as other reviews have said, they will only last for one or two cleans. I was pretty impressed with how well another sponge took off the baked on grease in the corners of a ceramic baking tray, those last little bits that had also been resistant to a good old scrub with a scouring pad. I don't really know how it works, but it does! You do still need to get in there with some elbow grease, but it just lifts the baked on grease off, which is pretty impressive.Not quite sure how "green" these things are, but they do the job with water, and without having to resort to the really toxic chemicals, so I figure that's better than many of the alternatives. I've knocked a star off the maximum score just because they are a little on the small size and do fall apart pretty quickly - personally I would prefer 10 x double thickness in the hope that they might last a little better.As others have said, you will need to wait a while for these to arrive from Hong Kong, but at the price who can complain?!

The saying 'you get what you pay for' is very true with these. I've used these magic sponges for a long time - usually from the pound shop, where they tend to sell out quickly. The brand name sponges available are a truly ridiculous price, they are bigger and more robust but these still work out cheaper.Don't expect them to last more than two or three uses on smooth surfaces or a single use on a rough textured surface. If you bear that in mind, you should remain happy.They arrived from China, wrapped in thick plastic, and that was it - the parcel wrap was the packaging. Being shipped from China does take a while to arrive, so do factor this in if you have a cleaning spree planned.I'm not sure as to whether or not I'll make a repeat purchase - possibly, but I'll also have the pound shop pads - or those on specialbuy at a certain discount store.

Love these items. And to get 20 of them at 10p each I think is a steal. They do take about ten days to arrive but your not going to running out of them fast.If you've never used melamine pads before, they're a real treat I use them mostly for my aquarium to scrub algae from the glass with no effort. But household cleaning jobs they can remove paint nail varnish quite easily without any chemicals. However you need to be careful what you use them on as the micro abrasion can take logos from paints and plastics. Ceramics glass and worktops you shouldn't need to worry. I wouldn't use on polished wood. It would very easily tear through the varnish

I love these and keep buying them. They are magical for some stains that I wasn't able to clean in years and thought they are permanent. Give it a try and see what it can clean. They are of smaller size and shorter life than more popular brands offer, but remember, all of them are one-use only anyway! So for that price, I am not buying any other.

These magic sponges are a life saver, they remove the toughest marks with very little effort, and are far cheaper than some similar products in the supermarkets, only one word of advise they don't last long ( which is the same as likewise products) but at this price who cares!

These are fab, I’ve just used two to give my cream kitchen floor a really good clean. My mop and bleach were fine for a quick sanitise but no good at getting ground in dirt off, these sponges brought my stone tiles up a treat and are excellent value! Yes they disintegrated with use but so do the expensive brands, these are mile better value.

I love these sponges. There is nothing they do not clean, all hard surfaces, pans, cutlery, and recently used them to clean ingrained dirt in the fabric of a settee and it brought it up like new. No chemicals needed. At this price I can afford to use them on everything.

I cannot believe these sponges actually work. I thought they were worth a try for the cost and wow, what a brilliant purchase. I had lots of black marks on white doors that I had tried several times to remove with different cleaning products and even an eraser but nothing worked. These magic eraser sponges worked though, with only a bit of water required. Would definitely recommend and they're so cheap.
