If you like to paint in very fine detail these brushes are ideal. A large selection will allow for the most intricate detail painting. Even the largest size will allow fine detailing whilst allowing better colour holding than the smaller sizes. The triangular handles give a nice comfortable feel whilst the handle diameter is not too large and bulky. The firm synthetic filaments give a very good responsive spring feel and is also very hardwearing. Just make sure you clean the brushes properly after use. For watercolour and acrylic painting, just use warm soapy water. For everything else, turpentine or white spirit. Make sure you knead the hair to remove pigment from the base of the hair where it meets the ferrule. Lastly, dry off with kitchen roll as that will suck the moisture from the bristles and always point the brushes to finish and when dry will retain the correct shape.

the 4/0 has allowed me the chance to do some really cool highlight/detail work on some 28mm models
I bought these to replace some other brushes and I have been really impressed with the results they've enabled me to get so far. The points keep their tip provided you clean them properly and even the larger 1 and 2 size brushes can be used to do some level of detail work on figures. However, the 4/0 has allowed me the chance to do some really cool highlight/detail work on some 28mm models; even I managed to paint lens highlights on a 28mm Warhammer Space marine and I don't consider myself talented at all.One word to potential buyers; the tri-grip is much further back on the handle compared to where I would normally hold a brush. However, this is probably just me getting sued to a new style of handle and this does not detract from the score I gave.Compared to similar quality brushes these really are excellent and for the price of one "Series 7" you really do get a great set.

Pretty impressed by these
Pretty impressed by these, as I didn't expect much from them. Hold their points well, easy to paint with and you get plenty of variety. Probably won't use some of the smallest ones, but at this price I'd gladly pick up a few more packs.
