🌠 Capture the cosmos like a pro—no matter the city lights!
The SVBONY SV220 is a 2-inch, 7nm dual-band narrowband filter designed for one-shot color cameras. It reduces interference from moonlight and artificial light pollution, enhancing contrast in nebula and deep-sky astrophotography. Ideal for urban environments, it simplifies post-processing while delivering high-contrast, detailed images of gaseous and planetary nebulae.

Does the job!
Awesome filter, I use it almost every session

Perfect for light pollution in bortle 5/6 skies
This cut down on the light pollution and gradients in final images exponentially. Great buy, bortle 5/6 skies. Images shot with svbony sv503 80ED w/ this filter and ASI533MC Pro. Processed with GraXpert and Siril

It is an awesome yes comparable output with respect to Optolong
I have been doing astro for a few years and have been using Optolong for long time, first time I tried to use a brand that I was looking towards and I am surprised with the outcome! This really pulled me out and I was like, wait, what? I paid over $300 for Optolong and this one was not that much and definitely gave results! to explain it, I took shot of NGC-7000 aka North American Nebula and each filter was 35 frames and after just stacking them in the PixInsight, I didn't see a major difference between the two output! well build!! I have two images, one show comparison of the SVbony with Optolong and another one is post processed image of the SVBony filter output!

Great nebula filter
Great filter at a good price! Good results with my stock/unmodified canon DSLR. Still able to focus on bright stars using a bahtinov mask. Suppresses over exposed and bloated stars, minimizing the need for star reduction. Blocks almost all moon-glow, allowing more emission nebulae to be imaged during the full moon. Of course it's not suitable for reflection nebula and galaxies, since it only passes Ha and OIII.

Does a good job for an inexpensive filter.
Giving this a 4 for the time being since I'm using an unmodified DSLR which isn't very sensitive to Ha. That said I'm getting very decent results. I'm now in the North Carolina mountains (Bortle 5-6) so I expect to get better results and I have an ASI533MC Pro on order. Wwill update the review after testing with a real astro camera.Attached are images of NGC6992-C33-Veil Nebula and NGC2359-Thor'sHelmet taken in Bortle 8-9 skies near downtown St, Petersburg, Fl and with < 1 hour imaging on each.

It just works
An excellent nebula filter for urban astronomers. Overcomes both local (streetlights) and general light plllution. Used a Sybony SV555 and ZWO ASI 585MC Pro with good results.Recommended.

Solid Filter for Ha/OIII in 1 frame
This filter works amazing for adding contrast to emissions nebulae, especially for OSC and DSLR cameras. It is a narrow band filter, so it will cut out a lot of light by design. I've found that doubling either time or ISO gets you pretty close for exposure. If you're wanting to start imaging emission nebulae, I highly recommend this filter. I've attached pictures of the Orion and Rosette nebulae that I took through this filter. Imaging was done in class 5 conditions with a stock Canon R100 and a Skywatcher Quattro 150P
