These shorts are lightweight, comfortable, and fit true to size. The material dries quickly and feels breathable, making them great for outdoor activities or everyday wear. The pockets are well-placed and actually usable, which is a big plus. Overall, they’re well made and surprisingly good quality for the price. I’d definitely buy them again.

These shorts finally caused my first review, though I've been buying things on Amazon for ages. I feel almost fanboyish for the true genius that incorporated hook-n-loop under and around the snap with just enough flex and adjustment available in the waist for extreme comfort. I'm 6' at 170lbs with a 32" waist and 30" inseam; the medium are a perfect fit. I took these shorts camping in the White Mountains of Arizona followed by the high desert just below the Mogollon Rim. Both the fabric and stiching are exceptionally impervious to abrasion, as the rocks and ground I sat upon was some of the grittiest gravel and sand known to mankind. They took a beating though still look and feel new. I also got so much food stuffs and pine tar (pine tar!) on them, they should be standing on their own. A quick wipe with my hand and they look perfectly clean and new once more. The flaps over the high quality zippers are wonderfully engineered. But Alice, are they functional? These shorts move with me like no other pair of cargo shorts I've ever owned, and the pockets are perfectly placed for comfort and access while sitting or standing. I've ordered two more colors of the same and a pair of cargo pants from the same brand to see if this was a fluke. I may report back after putting these through the wash, but they truly seem like the perfect sport cargo shorts.

I am very pleased with the quality of these shorts. I also like that they do not have a wallet pocket in the back. The other pockets are easy to get to and the zippers open and close with one hand. I like that! A lot of other shorts can't say that. Another plus is that the knit of the fabric is not the kind that if you have a hangnail or slight burr from something that it's going to pull a thread. My reason for the 4 stars is only because I found that the size chart could be more accurate and it resulted in a return and repurchase on a smaller size. I'll explain next. I'm 6'3", weight 280 pounds, have a 42" waist and 46" hips. I first bought 2 pairs of the 3XL size based on the sizing chart that says it's for waist size 38-40" and hips 46-48". I hoped they would not be too tight in the waist. However, I had to return them because they seemed very slightly loose and I didn't want to have them sliding down. I then ordered 2 pairs of 2XL which they say are for 36-38" waists and 44-46" hips. The 2XL fit much better, but I would say they are a bit tighter than I thought they would be after trying on the 3XL. It's not at all uncomfortable, so I am going to keep them. Maybe the sizing choice for these shorts should really be on a person's hip measurement. Since I'm 46" in the hips and the 2XL are a little tight and the 3XL are a little loose that seems to fall inline the the sizing chart. I would buy them again and I may eventually do so. Btw, I also purchased the convertible Men's Hiking pants shown with this page. They are great, too. I'll rate them next.

Amazing shorts, probably the most comfortable shorts ever! Stretchy, loose fitting but not overly baggy, strong snap closure on the front, overall awesome shorts. I do wish there were back pockets, but multiple leg pockets makes up for it. It also has belt loops in case you need it for heavier stuff in your pockets. Worth buying.

These pants are awesome for hiking, working outdoors, or just not sweating to death. They’re super lightweight, quick-drying, and actually look decent enough to wear off-trail. I love 'em. But those zippers? They’ve got commitment issues. ✅ What I Like: Breathable and cool – Great for hot days or fast-paced hikes. You don’t feel like you’re wearing a tarp. Good fit – Athletic but not skinny-jean tight. Plenty of room to move. Dry fast – Get them wet and they’re good to go again in no time. Tons of pockets – If only the zippers behaved… ⚠️ What Could Be Better: Zippers love to wander – Unless zipped all the way up and checked regularly, expect a surprise pocket dump. Fabric is thin (by design) – Just don’t expect them to survive crawling through thorns or barbed wire. ⭐ Final Verdict: If you need lightweight, breathable pants for summer work, hiking, or travel, these are fantastic—just keep an eye on the zippers like a toddler near a cookie jar. I still wear them constantly, but I double-check my pockets religiously.

These shorts were comfortable and stylish. Contrary to another review, I found the length to be just right for me. The material is more technical/silky than I was expecting, but the color is true black and the two types of material blend well. I intend to use these shorts for kayaking on a lake and I think they're perfect for that purpose. The added pockets and secure pocket closure design will make them more comfortable and useful than my normal board shorts. They are very quick drying and move well with me. They are comfortable. I haven't had them out enough to assess durability, but they have inlaid vents that are thinner material than the main fabric. Based on their strategic location on the shorts, I think they'll hold up well, but a random accident could probably rip them. The zipper seems high quality and the adjustable waist was unexpected, works well, and is a nice touch.

Great shorts! I use them for hiking and they fit well and definitely dry quickly. Plenty of pockets with good quality zippers.

My son says comfortable, but he wants back pockets, and he said it gos to far past his knees, so they need hemming up.
