Good for light use
Good for light use, it was cheap and worked well. Def. not pro quality or for heavy use but was what I expected based on price + other reviews

Lubricate threads before use.
Used to break a chain 12 times for a project and by the end the threads were almost worn out and got hard to use. Worked for what I needed ot for bit is garbage now.

Perfect for the Home mechanic
This chain breaker works just like it is supposed to. The handle is comfortable in your palm and allows you to keep the tool firmly gripped when you get to the torque portion pressing the chain pins in or out. It is black painted steel, so I'm going to guess it is not made out of chromoly tool grade steel. As such, if I was a bike shop mechanic breaking a chain every day it may not hold up. That is just a guess however. It worked fine to break and install my 10 speed Ultegra chain and since I do this only about 1-2 times per year I think it will hold up fine. This I know, at $6.99, it is a fantastic value compared to other chain cutters costing two, three, and eight times as much!

Made for Failure
First thing was that the pin on the tool does NOT center on the chain pin. Second: the handle on the tool does not provide the mechanical advantage necessary to easily push a pin out. Third and final was the pin on the tool bending. Made it really useless. All in all, not a good buy...mostly in time lost and frustration.

Easiest Way to Remove or Install a Bike Chain
As you can see in my photos, the Shopsimple Bike Chain Tool made the task of breaking a rusty bike chain easy work. Not work at all, in fact. I didn't have a chain tool and had been trying all sorts of tricks to separate the chain links on a bicycle that had been sitting outside in the weather for years! I sure wish I'd bought this tool and saved myself all that aggravation. The turning mechanism just eases a link pin out with little to no effort on your part. Less than 5 minutes from mailbox to bike and the chain was free!
