HellerHEL80441 Model Kit, Various, HR80445

Bought this for my son - who has recently taken up model making. Avoided buying the Revell version due to bad reviews. Can't see how it could have been worse than this. Almost none of the parts fit together properly. The quality of the plastic is itself terrible. I've never built a Heller kit before and I will never buy one again. Stick to Tamiya if you want quality - though all the recent Revell kits I've built haven't been half bad either.On the bright side - I was able to cannibalise Concordes ailerons which - with a bit of ingenuity, a hack saw and a file - made a fairly good replacement for the elevators on old DC3 kit (of all things) I had hanging around. Luckily - my little lad was happier with that completed project than the Concorde. All was not lost then.
