I ordered the Saltan Himalayan Salt 950g COARSE (2-5mm LIGHT PINK) Crystal Pink Salt earlier this week from Amazon. Call me girly but I liked the idea of having pink salt in my grinder – am sure my husband doesn’t agree but quite frankly its beautiful to look at and more importantly I think it is lovely tasting salt. The size of the granules are perfect for my grinder as well. They are between 2 mm and 5 mm and so are quite coarse but I find that’s the best for my salt grinder. I also have been using them in cooking as well as you get a lovely big bag of them. They are a light pink in colour which apparently means they are a purer crystal salt. They are additive free and organic and 100% Pure culinary salt with nothing added. With preserved purity for over 250 million years along with its distinct flavour and diverse mineral elements Himalayan Pink Salt is the most treasured of salts among a wide range of people. The minerals found in Himalayan salt are what makes it pink, iron and potassium taking up most of the mineral content and an array of up to 82 other minerals. Also you can add 400g to a regular bath for sustained detoxification or 950g to a bath once a month full detox effect but I haven’t tried that as I don’t like baths. Never knowingly seen in any supermarket, the white crystals had been purchased and used previously but someone spoke of 'pink salt' which was a first mention. Seeing the offer as the supermarkets offer tiny packs for about £1, it appeared to be a bargain although even larger pack sizes are available.There is a distinct but subtle difference in the flavour compared with standard cooking salt, this being less 'salty' in comparison but the naturally included sea minerals are claimed to be beneficial to health and add their own influence to the taste on the tongue.To be used intermittently, initially, until existing stock of cooking salt is used when this will be solely used.

This is a really good salt and tastes great. I read about the health benefits of Himalayan salt and thought It was worth a try as I normally use sea salt. I have knocked a star off though as being coarse I expected it to work in my grinder, but it tends to collect and stick around the entrance.

Well, on the bag, actually. Genuine Himalayan salt - always a worry when buying online, but I can confirm this is the real McCoy. Delivered promptly. Would have no qualms about buying from this company again.

Very good salt, I have had Himalayan salt before and this salt was slightly richer in colour which means higher mineral content! Great packaging and value for money too. Coarse grade is perfect for my grinder

This salt tastes so much better than the usual table salt I get from the shops. The size of the granules is much better for my grinder than the last brand of course Himalayan I tried, which broke the damn thing! You can also put it in your bath, leaves your skin feeling smooth and refreshed, which was really good for my psoriasis.
