Activated Carbon maximizes the removal of contaminants, helping to keep water clean and clear. It is especially effective for the removal of chlorine and chloramines from tap water making it ideal for use in all home aquariums, ponds, water features etc. Pellet form carbon allows for maximum water coverage. Pellet diameter may vary between 1 to 3.5mm depending on stock. It is recommended that prior to initial use that the activated carbon is rinsed to remove any residual dust or residue. Once installed and in use, the carbon can be rinsed with aquarium or pond water during maintenance. Replacement is recommended every 3 months.
