I recently purchased an Epson HX-20 laptop; arguably the first laptop ever made, and I'm so impressed that after 40 years I can still purchase replacement ribbons for the inbuilt printer. Amazing

Printer ribbons for taxitronic meter.
I bought these ribbons for my taxitronic meter as I drive a taxi in Dublin. They work perfectly buy 3 or 4 at a time and it is much cheaper than buying them in Dublin.

Long time to arrive
Having taken some time in finding someone who would provide these Ribbons at a reasonable price, I was pleased to order them, however, I ordered them on the 17th April, I was advised they were dispatched on the 22nd April, delivery date was the 25th April, however, they did not arrive until 29th April - this is a total of 12 days from order to delivery - so a little disappointed. Product however very good and will order again - albeit well in advance of needing them

For once, buying a genuine Epson product has its benefits
Based on my experience with ink jet printers I'd never normally advocate buying genuine Epson consumables. However having tried generic/compatible ribbons I have to conclude that Epson is best for this application. Colour lasts much longer than other cassettes before fading. Worth the extra cost.
