In my house, the Louisiana brand gumbo is the only kind my family will eat. We’ve tried others and none have passed. This was our first time trying the etouffee and it is now a new staple in our pantry. What we like: 1. easy to cook - instructions are clear, few steps, and doesn’t require dirtying many dishes 2. Flavor - both mixes have a slight spice to them (I water it down just slightly for my toddler), but it’s exactly what you’d look for in a good Louisiana dish 3. Texture - my husband is a HUGE picky eater, and hates chucks of onions and such. Both mixes are smooth and consistent in a powder form, which is one of the reasons it’s the only kind we eat now The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the price. We found it at a local store in our home town for a third cheaper

To Faye was a little flat tasting but loved the gumbo base
