This German coffee is wonderful. The full flavor surprises given how mild this coffee is on the stomach. It is perfect for that cup of coffee in the morning and with a piece of cake in the afternoon.

Once you have tried this coffee you will never go back to brand coffee they sell at the grocery store. The fine ground is superior and the taste is, too. I have also tried Dallmayr Prodomo which is superior.

Since I grew up in Germany, I've been drinking this particular brand of coffee for the past 20 years. I am so happy to be able to get it on Amazon now instead of having to go to a specialty store where you pay $11-12 or waiting for grandma to send some in the mail.Eduscho Gala is a mix of Arabica and Robusta beans. It has a nice full flavor, is easy on the stomach and is ground much finer than any American coffee I've ever bought. It is very powdery, which probably makes a difference in the flavor as well. I often buy Starbucks coffee when I can't have this one, and even though theirs is good quality it doesn't even come close to the flavor on the Eduscho Gala. My best guess would be that this is a medium roast, compared to the Starbucks roasts.The package recommends to keep it in an air tight bag or container in the refrigerator. The expiration date is on the bottom of the package and you have to keep in mind that in Germany they list the day first, then the month and year. On the package I received today the expiration date is 09.08.2013 which is August 9, 2013. The inside package is vacuum sealed so the coffee is packed in there pretty tight when you first open it.My son generally can't stand coffee, but when I have this he often asks for a cup.If you're picky about what kind of coffee you buy and expect good quality I would highly recommend you try this.
