Bb and Eb reeds: I tried these reeds out of curiosity and to try out my Keilwerth Eb (a work in progress). Normally I play Bb clarinet with Vandoren (traditional) strength 3. I found these “internetreeds” played easily and sounded good, but were a little softer than Vandoren and slightly prone to getting waterlogged. I shall buy 3½ strength next time but for now these are fine with a little judicious trimming with my ancient Pisoni Reed Trimmer!

I'm no expert in this area as I bought these for my son who is learning the Clarinet and was getting through reeds at an alarming rate. We bought these in attempt to find longer lasting ones or at least save some money per reed. We were pleased to discover that these reeds do actually seem to last a lot longer than the ones we were buying from the local music shop and they also seem to make a nicer noise (although that could be just my son improving).They are significantly better value for money than the reeds we were buying locally and we will be buying more when we start running low.With the proviso that I don't really know what I'm talking about I would recommend them.
