Works well
Good for blocking feedback if your amp or pre-amp doesn't have effective feedback reduction notching. And in cases where that's insufficient, it's good to have this handy as a supplement.Just be sure your sound hole is the right size for this. There are a lot of different sound hole sizes, and this won't help if it doesn't fit.

As a guitar and bass player, this fits two of my acoustic / electric instruments perfectly!
I'm using this for my Breedlove Pursuit Concert acoustic / electric 6 string guitar and my Ibanez GSR 200 acoustic / electric 4 string bass. The hole measures 4" for those of you that need to know how that equates into the typical inches measurement. Picture 1 is the cover on the sound hole of the Ibanez bass.Other measurements to know:The cut out that will let it slide beneath the base of the neck is 2 3/8" [pic 2], just right for these 2 guitars. The thickness of the cover is 1/2" [pic 3]. So if the distance between the strings and the surface of the guitar body happen to be less than that, the strings will need to be loosened anytime you want to remove this cover. This hole cover slips in & out easily below the bass strings of the Ibanez. For the Breedlove 6 string it's a close fit to slide it under the strings, but I can still maneuver it into place without loosening the strings.

Helps with Feedback
Fits nice and does a great job reducing feedback.

Works perfectly as long as it fits your particular guitar
I’ve been a professional musician for over 30 years, and normally use the D’Addario/Planet Waves brand plug. But my current #1 acoustic is a Martin and the sound hole measures 3.993” precisely (I used calipers to get that exact measurement). The D’Addario plug measures just a hair over 4”. So, it’s too big for this Martin. I could probably force it in, but I ain’t doing that. So, I’m looking around on Amazon and I find this 10cm plug, which is 3.937”. And guess what, it’s a perfect fit. No forcing. Works perfectly.

This was about the cheapest and does the job perfectly well.

A good fit
I've been using one of these on my semi acoustic bass for years. I'm never quite sure how much they sound or how well they muffle feedback, but at the very least they stop stuff getting dropped in the hole! This one fits my bass perfectly. Nice pattern on it too.

Not Quite a Snug Fit
This sound hole cover is advertised as 10cm, which is the diameter of my ~Taylor GS Mini sound hole bit it isn't a snug fit. Until I use it 'in action' I don't know whether it will stay in place. I may have to resort to the old favourite - blue tac!!It's construction is good.MA

Did not fit and torn at edge. Not worth the effort to send back. My loss

Effective enough
There's not a whole lot to say on this one (yes I resisted the pun there)Pretty much as advertised and fit fine enough if a little fiddly to get in and out - maybe I'm missing a trick there or it's practice, who knowsBut did the job effectively enough, cutting feedbackI don't often plug the acoustic in but when I do it's nice to have a bit more freedom to position in practice spaces without deafening yourself
